We love our spa! We've had it since 2004, and unlike many people who get a spa and then quit using it after a few months, we still use ours at least twice a week, year round.

You might talk to the manager of a Hotel/Motel that has a hot tub and see if they would be willing to let you come and pay a couple of dollars to sit in the hot tub for 30 minutes to an hour(although i dont think an hour is recommended). I have an Arthritis group that I let come on Mon-Wed_ Fri mornings and they each pay 2 bucks. They swim and then sit in the hot tub. Just a thought.

Our house is about 1000 feet from the road, so the driveway is really long! There is a pretty steep hill though. My husband has to put the pick-up in low or 4WD to trail the bass boat up the hill.

The house is in the yellowish-green part in the middle, which is a 5-acre parcel. From the far left blue line to the far right one (at the end of the skinny piece) is one-half mile; we own 29 acres all together. The trails that are shown in my "Take a walk with me" album on Webshots are in the woods in the left/west part of our property.

It is worse today, cause....stupid me...I fell asleep in my recliner after Main Man went to bed. I didn't wake up until 4:00.

Gayle, in my town the hotels/motels that have indoor pools and hot tubs let folks swim or soak there for $2. Well worth it. I swim 2 or 3 times a week.

I'm nursing a hurt shoulder right now so I'm using our hot tub almost daily...we actually use it more in the winter then the summer...it's too flippin hot for the hot tub in GA in the summer...they have some mighty good deals on semi portable hottubs now Gayle!

I have a hot tub but it doesn't work, electrician said the computer needed to be replaced by the company where the previous owner got it.

I'm thinking that driveway isn't RV-friendly *grin* but you sure have a lovely home and setting!

We have one and currently it is feeling pretty lonely. I am not a hot tub person but hubby is, he usually uses it year round but his carpal tunnel is stopping him from getting the cover off and on right now. I bet he would love the help!!

Dh bought a Sundance hot tub in Dec. of 1995. We even moved it with us when we moved to Texas.....that's how much we love our hot tub! But like Liz, there's no way we could stand it in the summer. Winter is the perfect time for a hot tub. There's nothing better than making that mad dash out to the hot tub and immersing yourself in the warm water. We keep ours at 100° or 101° depending on how cold it is outside. After about 20 minutes, my core temperature is warmed up and I'm ready to get out. Sure does help sore muscles. It's been in the 60's here so I'm hoping for a cold front so we can get in the hot tub tonight. When we first got the hot tub, my youngest son was only 5 and he called it "the cozy tub". We've had lots of great family talks while soaking.

I looked up the Sundance. It is very nice. I searched for a Dealer, nearest one is 107 miles away. But, I'm definately going to start looking for one.

I have a friend near me with a Hot Tub, but She commutes and want be home until late.

I just looked at the Thermo Spa with Neck Massage jets. Yes! But, I have no idea how much it cost.

Gayle, ours is a Hot Springs Spa, Vanguard model. I don't know how it compares to Sundance in size or jets, but if I recall correctly, it cost somewhere around $8000 installed (in 2004).

No matter which brand you choose, make sure you can actually try out the spa with water in it. When we were looking at spas, we found there was a huge difference between just looking at or sitting in an empty spa and actually feeling how the jets work. Yes, it's a little odd being in the middle of the store relaxing in a spa, but I think it's worth it.

The corner seats in our spa have neck jets. I just love them, although they do kind of spray water up into your face sometimes. And if you have neck jets, you need to keep the spa filled very high (all jets must be submerged). Which means that if you have more than the usual number of people in the spa, it may overflow. Not a big problem, but definitely something to think about.
