Dimmer experts: line voltage load on low-voltage dimmer?

I've got a 4" line-voltage can over my sink and will soon have xenon low-voltage undercabinet lights. The UCs will have a remote transformer, probably electronic, and I already know I'll need a special low-voltage dimmer for them. What I'm wondering is, would it be feasible to wire the line voltage sink light to the same low-voltage dimmer so that the sink and UC lights operate together? My kitchen is quite small and I'm trying to keep the switching arrangement appropriately simple.
