Only a guess, but it looks to me like ... Kree - Li ke(with long sound of the i and e.)

I don't even know why I'm answering this one - I don't know! lol

I would've said ... cry - lek (lehk)

I would have said "Cry Like" a baby.

In reality it could be pronounced any number of ways. I liked George Carlin's routine when he said so accurately Your name could be spelled S-M-I-T-H and you could pronounce it Genovski if you wanted to.

I like Sandy's idea!! but I'm betting its Cry Like...

I guess I just thought that someone would have had experience with this company since I see their signs everywhere. And it IS 2 last names, put together. And it's catchy, too. Better than Leike-Crye. :) Anyway, THANKS!

Interesting subject. When we moved to Delaware we we admonished that Loockerman (we said Look er man) was actually pronounced Lockerman! Huh?! Is there such a thing as a silent o? Yep, and Lewes (we thought Louis) is actually Lews. Go figure.

When I saw it, I said it to myself like Kayjones posted it. But I like Sandy's idea the BEST. :)

I work with several Crye Leike realty companies.
It is pronounced 'cry like'.

LOL I already knew the answer to that one! It IS "cry-like". And, wouldn't you know it, the "Crye" part originated from none other than good ol Des Arc, Arkansas! LOL

I've found that some east Texas towns have quirky pronunciations; for instance, Murchison is Murkson to the locals, and I can't even spell how some say Athens!

One guy I used to work with couldn't even agree with his brother how to pronounce their own last name! It's Shragg. He pronounced it so it would rhyme with "rag". His brother pronounced it (the old world way) to rhyme with "hog".

Try heading to Wisconsin and ask for directions.
Shawano is 2 syllables, not 3. (Shaw-no)
Chippewa of Chippewa Falls is also 2 syllables, not 3. (Chip-wa)
Although not too surprisingly, Eau Claire="O-Clair" (also 2 syllables if you noticed)

So, is it E-gor, or Eye-gor?
Frank-en-stein or Fronk-en-steen?
Smith or Genovski?
