What comes to mind when I see this window is a wood blind with slats the same color as your cabinets, perhaps with contrasting tapes the color of your walls (maybe with a subtle pattern on the tape). I have one of their Durawood blinds in a guest bath and am very happy with it.

I would build a box cornice out of wood finished to match the vanity cabinets, with the same paneled effect on the front. Hang that several inches higher than the mirror and shower. I would then mount roman shades or fabric cellular blinds that could be raised and lowered as needed. Likely in a color close to the wall color, perhaps a fabric with some texture for interest.

You could do a top-down blind if you like that look. Personally, I don't care for them, as I don't like seeing the two cords above the blind when they are open that way.

Another thought would be woven woods of some kind, in medium tones, with dark edge banding that would compliment the vanity and mirror.

Honestly, I don't care for the frosting when it splits the window like that. If you like the frosted effect, maybe do it on all the windows, but do it in varying widths of stripes across the panes, so that it blocks the view but doesn't obliterate it.

I will never understand architects who design homes with a huge window located right where everyone has privacy issues.

Vern, I had the same issue in my bath. I wanted to see out the window and I wanted the light, but I didn't want anyone seeing in past a certain level. I used Gallery Glass from Michaels to solve my problem. I did my own design but you can buy designs and patterns.

I laid the tape pre-made (the black lines) and cut it with a little exacto knife. Then I dotted "solder joints" on the seams where the tape met (you don't cross one piece with another). Once that was done, it was easy to paint the window in. The clear parts are done with something that goes on white and looks and smells like Elmer's glue. You just make lots of little circles with the tip of the bottle. The finished look is quite attractive.

Here is what I did. It blocks a couple of inches on the bottom (all I needed) and leaves the center clear for me to look out at the yard and the trees:

It doesn't need a window treatment now, so I don't have to launder one. Plus I enjoy looking at it every time I'm in there. It will last for years (I know a gal who has one that's ten years old and still just fine) but if I ever tired of it I could scrape it off with a razor blade.

My son liked it so much he had me do a front door sidelight for him. He wanted his all opaque. It lets in light, but people can't look in and see your face. You can see his blue porch rail through the window toward the bottom, to give you an idea of how much view it obscures (though I suppose you could make it thicker if you wanted):

As you can see, with this technique you can decide which areas of the window to "frost" and which (if any) to leave clear. Both my son and I are very happy with our Gallery Glass windows. They took me a little time to do but it was worth it.

If nobody in your family wants to try that, they also make a window film similar to what you used that mimics stained glass. I think it's a lot more pleasant than the frosted film, but that's just my preference.

Anyway, just a thought for you of a different option.

I think that the wood blinds would look great. I do think, however that a fabric valance would look nice in addition. Fabric will soften the room. I would hang the rod at the height of the mirror.

Sorry no advice, but could you tell me what kind of frosted film you used. We need to do something for our front door that we ordered obscure and it is anything but.
