Crawl Space in the mid south.

We have a ranch style vacation home on Table Rock Lake about 7 miles from the Arkansas border. The dirt is only about 2 inches deep in most places with solid rock undernieth. The home is built with a crawlspace 2feet high in the front & 4 feet in the back. Block foundation - no cracks. The ceiling above the crawl space is insulated. The floor of the crawl space is mostly rock with some dirt. New 12" insulated ductwork. Here are some temps I recorded last week.

(first reading was when the home was empty for 45 days with thermostat set to 55.

It would appear that I am heating the crawl space, but have not discovered a leak in the heating system. IS IT POSSIBLE & PROBABLE that the ground rock in this area retains temps in the mid 50s ? I have no experience with crawl spaces nor the climate in the Branson Missouri area.

Apprecheiate any input.

Thanks.
