Instead of kids, the cats (except for Zeus who needs a big hug) are nestled all snug in their beds" Snow pictures are gorgeous...looks like a rainy Christmas for me...and a warm one. But our crazy weather yo-yos cold and hot, cold and hot. But all you do with weather is talk about it, right? Your grandson is precious...love the Santa pic. My two and four YO grands were here today to make cookies with Mimi. After frosting and decorating, the two year old went off to play with blocks, but the Noah, the four year old was made of tougher stuff. "Chocolate chips are my favowite Mimi, so we made chocolate chips, then peanut butter cookies, then "but waisin cookies are my daddy's favowite, Mimi, we have to make them." so we made raisin cookies, then their cookie buckets were full, as was an additional box of chocolate chip cookies. I had to sit down for a while before I even cleaned the kitchen. I'm already planning for next year. And Celeste, we all enjoy your beautiful pictures so much. The amaryllis are really pretty. They go in the ground here when they are through blooming, and they bloom in the ground the next Spring, sometimes twice. I enjoyed your Christmas card, Celeste. Here is a picture of my tree. Hubby had the 6ft. spiral trees down from the front deck & stored away when I got up today. I took my diningroom table down & all the other decor & boy are my legs tired from going up & down the basement steps. I put out a simple table & coordinating decor throughout the livingroom.. If some of you remember all the amber vases & candle holders I got at the end of summer, well that is what is out now & can stay for a long time. The only things I'll have to move are the three on the diningroom table when I do Valentines day & other holidays, but the rest can stay since it all coordinates with my decor. I've been dying to use all the amber things since last fall. I'm glad mine is all put away, was dreading it, even though I didn't put out as much as last year, it sure felt like it when I was making the treck up & down the stairs!!!

twinkle nose...I used to do a lot of painting when I was selling crafts...but not so much anymore...I kind of miss it. If I wasn't such a putz at driving distances, I go to grammahony's mother for lessons...She paints watercolors and is extremely good...maybe sometime Leslie will share some of them with us...They live about an hour from me. patti

Laura, thank you for thinking of me and trying to message me. I have no idea how to fix that here on Houzz.. :) I have been keeping in touch with Ruth about the Bergamot since last summer. It was supposed to be ready by late summer 2016. Then late fall 2016. Then spring 2017. Then mid- summer 2017.. Then September.. October and now next spring 2018!! Man, that is one slow growing tree! :D I just talked to Ruth again last Thursday and she said it should be ready by the middle of October. I talked to her brother this afternoon and he said it should be ready by the end of October. I have a feeling it will not be ready, like you said, until early spring 2018. It is good that you went ahead and ordered it from FW.. I wonder what rootstock the Bergamot is on and that Harris and FW are using. It sounds like it needs a pretty warm, consistent temperature to get a good growth rate.. I know that they are batting down the hatches in Leu of the hurricane. I am worried for them all also. I told them to stay safe and my prayers are with them. PS: I asked Ruth about the Sugarbelle Tangelo last year after seeing it listed on the back of their brochure. She told me the same thing as you, Laura. Not available yet to the general backyard growers..
