(i have XP - not sure about service pack. ) Right click My Computer - Left click Properties - If you have service Pack 2 It will be listed in the General Tab area. If you have service Pack 2 you will also have a Firewall in the Control Panel that should be turned on. Windows Firewall. Firefox has a Popup Blocker. It can be downloaded here. Firefox It will take a good while to download with dial-up. If you don't like this location just do a search. It wouldn't hurt if you did a Disk Cleanup and used the Disk Defragmenter if you haven't done it lately. Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup or Disk Defragmenter. You shouldn't be getting Popups with IE 7.0

They are aware of the problem. It only affects Firefox and not Internet Explorer. With IE7 and XP SP2, I can go to Tools when open with IE and the Pop Up Blocker designation is second line - Turn On or Off. Mine's off, because I have another program (not free) that blocks all pop ups even more effectively - but I'm curious as to why you want yours off. They are so annoying....

On the kitchen forum many are having serious issues since the change in format. There has been a noticeable decline in postings. I emailed Tamara and told her that I had to change my browner to google chrome with ad block. I didn't mind the ads before but now they were covering text. I had been corresponding with Tamara before about this issue but it was never resolved. The pantene ad was horrendous. I would suggest anyone having any issues being able to use this site to please let Tamara know. It would be really sad if this forum drop off too.
