You'll need to find out who is doing the damage before you can do anything about it. Woodchucks raze a garden like a lawnmower. Rabbits, unless you have a LOT of them, aren't as destructive in flower beds (vegetable gardens seem to be a different issue). With luck, you may only have one single woodchuck which you could trap and relocate. Bunnies, considering their rate of reproduction, aren't as easy. Get up very early one morning and watch from a window. Woodchucks tend to feed early in the morning or around supper time, if things are quiet. Rabbits feed whenever there isn't anyone around to frighten them away (at least mine do). I've successfully relocated a woodchuck, but have not bothered with the bunnies. They are in this neighborhood and I have some of the plants you listed, but they seem content to munch on lawn weeds. Another reason to avoid herbicides and overseed with clover. Applying things like cayenne or commercial products to keep critters away is only good for as long as it doesn't rain.

Natal, small world! Did you know that "Breaking Bad" films some it's episodes right across the street from us? I know that they filmed quite a bit for this season nearby. They shot a couple of their "shoot out" scenes for this season in the road near my house. They posted notices on our mailboxes ahead of time to warn us, so that we wouldn't all freak out when we heard gun shots (LOL!). We didn't but our dogs did! I'd walk the dogs in the mornings and the actors would be wandering up and down my little street/road talking on their cell phones. The main road would be lined up in both directions with many MANY cars, trucks and big white vans hauling props and whatever. We don't live in Albuquerque where they shoot their city and city house scenes, but north of there in the mountains. They use our little local library just down the road from us to park the actor's private trailers and the caterer's trailers while they shoot. I am constantly amazed at how many people, trucks, props and miles of wire/lines they need every day that they film! I don't watch the series myself, but if you see scenes this season with a lovely, LARGE adobe hacienda, an old windmill, (gorgeous) pool scenes with several guest houses in the foreground and mountains and mesas in the (close) background, a cool small log cabin guest house, or drop-dead interior hacienda home views, that's my neighbor's home that BB rents occasionally to film at. The first time I accidentally came across SATC I was shocked, and embarrassed to be watching it with me in the room! Didn't finish the episode. One of the racier ones I guess. It was on free-to-air tv in Australia so I don't know how much it may have been edited. I've occasionally seen other episodes and thought the show might have been interesting. I made a point of watching the final episode. I can understand people following the show all the way through but it was on at a time in my life when I needed to be an expert channel changer so I just didn't tend to watch anything with that sort of potential. What has bothered me more is some of the stuff on SBS and ABC which has suddenly shown up in inappropriate timeslots. At least I had some idea SATC had a bit of a reputation, and it was in a better timeslot. (I've been told ABC and SBS don't have to abide by the same standards as the commercial stations.) I like Sweeby's comments. Popi, maybe your daughter was hoping for a conversation afterwards. I'm frequently shocked by the way increasingly young girls dress. But I don't have a teenage daughter so I really don't know what it's like for the parents to find the right path to tread on such issues. I suspect tv doesn't help, especially if the parents don't give some guidance as to what is appropriate viewing. I especially don't like it when parents put tv's in each child's bedroom.
