Brisket in the Oven

I just impulse bought a brisket because my son was curious to try cooking one, and it was .99 a lb. So, I have this 10+lb hunk of meat. I don't know what to do with it. I don't want to smoke it. It's hot here (Texas) and I don't want to take the trouble. I don't own a smoker or anything.

I have a gas grill, but even on low, it's pretty darned hot and I think you are supposed to cook brisket slowly, right?

So, that leaves the oven. If I use the oven, I want to do it at night. If I do it during the day, the whole house heats up and never seems to cool down. If I do it at night, it's not so bad, and it's usually a reasonable temperature when I get up. I don't know how that will be if it's ALL night, but I am willing to give it a shot.

So, what would you recommend I do with this thing?
