My puppy, Gracie :( (pic)

My poor dog Gracie had a seizure last night. I've never seen a dog have a seizure before, it was awful, and my tummy was upset over it. She was not normal for over two hours afterwards. DH was off work today, so he took her to the vet this afternoon, and they examined her and did blood work. He felt, in his opinion, that she has a neurological epileptic seizure disorder. I know that it's common for dogs to have this, but I am very upset about it. And there was a strange thing that happened last week- knowing what we know now, we think she had one when we were at work last week.

In a very weird twist, the reason DH was home today was because he had to take our daughter to a medical test and then to her neurologist. She had the last of a series of tests, as she challenged a diagnosis of epilepsy she was given 10 years ago. The neurologist gave her great news- that she does not believe DD has epilepsy, and she was taken off her medication.

So today I found out my daughter does not have epilepsy and my dog does.
