Hello, so I am very happy to say that there have been no accidents, or chewed belongings. He knows how to sit and his name most of the time. He is used to walking on a leash but we will need to work on his manners here. Being a proud new dog mom I have to say that I think he seems very smart. It would have been my choice to have my last dog Spud train this new pup on how to be a good dog( cause I thought he was the best dog in the world) But his last year he was diagnosed with bone cancer and I didn't want to have a wild new dog upsetting him. After I had to euthanised Spud the house was very empty so now I have Theo. I think he will be a good boy full of his own unique charms. Theo says Woof back

Well I had hoped to take a few new pics to post and announce her name at the same time. I tried a few favorite names out on her, and it seems the one 'she' likes best is Ginger (Ginger Snap when the situation calls for firmness.) She fetches, loves her ball and rolling it under the chair, and then going under the chair and playing with it there. She sleeps in her Pet Taxi, and settles down once she knows I too am in bed and settled down for the night. She stayed out the other night (was only in the 50's I think) and slept in the back of the truck in some mulch, along with 2 of the other girls. Little by little the other girl's are accepting her better and there is less growling. I'll keep you posted with pics as she grows up. They are all just totally precious! But I have to love Minny's mismarked face, she's cuteness-overload. Oh, in show dogs, when there are uneven face markings, its usually referred to as mismarked. I've always been a push over for that too. LOL. I had a Whippet (she was my heart dog) who had a face much like your little Minny. Meg died when she was 9 and she took a big piece of my heart with her. Cute names on the babies. Especially Raindrop, and Checkers! hugs, Karen

She may not have been what you wanted, but I think you will really enjoy having her. Originally, I wanted another Golden Retriever but was not thrilled about taking on the grooming needs. When Golddust announced her Lab Jack I fell in love with the pictures and read up on them. Temperment wise, Labs are very similar to Golden's and I couldn't be more thrilled with our choice. I just can't get over how smart they are. I prefer to have our pets in pairs as well but could never handle two, especially when walking them! LOL We got our girl over Labor Day weekend and my DH was the one who compromised. I've wanted a dog for years but my husband was perfectly content without one. Then one day we had to get cat food and there was a woman shopping with her new puppy, a yellow lab and DH was smitten. We tried to adopt from a rescue but ran into some frustrations. Then one day I saw an ad online from someone who lived in our area. They had 11 yellow lab puppies, males and females. My husband said I should call, you know, just to inquire and they still had several left. The lady offered let us see them that night and we were there within the hour. We ended up leaving with Ellie and I like to think she picked us. She was the only one who greeted us at the door and then she stayed close to us the whole time we were there.
