Marie cate I'm an hour and half away. I'm waiting for someone to get back to me to confirm which date she's available to go but I want to go soon. We went to see the Grace Kelly exhibit (in Doylestown) last January and the weather was a nightmare. I want to go sooner versus later so we don't repeat that. The Xmas decor will be up after the 22nd, I think. Kswl, I still longingly recall a plaid coat Mary wore in a hunting scene, the first year I believe. It would be great if that is included in the exhibit, I'd love to see it up close. Something about the tailoring on that just really grabbed me. Of course I'm not built anything like her. I'd look like a fire plug wrapped in a plaid blanket.

Oh, I agree that the dialogue is sometimes difficult to understand. I used the closed captioning. I don't know if the CC is dependent on how you get your tv signal. We have DirecTv satellite. Phyllis, could you watch (re-watch) it via the internet on the Masterpiece website? Sometimes I do that in addition to watching on tv, to understand better what is going on... especially at first to sort out all the characters. I think those who didn't see the first seasons' shows would get more out of the current season by watching the previous broadcasts (if it's still available). One line I didn't catch was when Matthew's new fiancee' Lavinia & Lady Mary's beau Sir Richard were discussing something???? outside & were "caught" by Lady Rosamund. It seems there is more between the 2 than first apparent?? Here is a link that might be useful: Watch on line...

This show has such great settings, costumes, actors and scripts. I highly recommend it to anyone. DH and I both enjoy it as well as DD.

At one point, someone posted a BLOG that had links to Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife that could be streamed even when they were not on the PBS site. I thought I had it book marked, but I cannot find it now :( They had episodes, I think, even that had not aired in the US yet. Does anyone remember what that was? It was a not a blog you would have thought would have had the streaming video links (i.e. it wasn't like a TV Blog).
