MizAnnThrope There is a thread on here already dealing with the Watch-series site. I introduced that site here a number of years ago and folks seem to always have problems when they first try to use it. I find that the problems come from not following instructions. There is No need to jump through hoops or move through six or seven screens! The screens are a form of pop-up/redirects and That is why I use a blocker. Oh yeah .. The site and the programs on the site can be viewed from anywhere! Below is one of my posts .. copied and pasted here: If you are talking about the Watch Series site that I brought up .. did you follow the rest of my advice? Use Firefox and an ad blocker. There is NO so-called utility program to download and there is NO reason to give any information .. to anyone to view the programs. I have tried using Opera, IE and other browsers with the site and have experienced the pop-up ads and redirects .. same as you and that is why I only use firefox with a pop-up blocker now. I have used the site for years and have never had a problem. With the multiple links for each episode .. sometimes one wont work and I'll just find one that does.

Oh, I agree that the dialogue is sometimes difficult to understand. I used the closed captioning. I don't know if the CC is dependent on how you get your tv signal. We have DirecTv satellite. Phyllis, could you watch (re-watch) it via the internet on the Masterpiece website? Sometimes I do that in addition to watching on tv, to understand better what is going on... especially at first to sort out all the characters. I think those who didn't see the first seasons' shows would get more out of the current season by watching the previous broadcasts (if it's still available). One line I didn't catch was when Matthew's new fiancee' Lavinia & Lady Mary's beau Sir Richard were discussing something???? outside & were "caught" by Lady Rosamund. At one point, someone posted a BLOG that had links to Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife that could be streamed even when they were not on the PBS site. I thought I had it book marked, but I cannot find it now :( They had episodes, I think, even that had not aired in the US yet. Does anyone remember what that was? It was a not a blog you would have thought would have had the streaming video links (i.e. it wasn't like a TV Blog).

No you can access everything----any internet sites, any television channels online, etc.. Also, your regular services like Netflix and Amazon prime will have completely different offerings when you are "traveling." You first sign out of the netflix app or service, sign into the VPN, and then sign back into to Netflix or whatever. When you sign into. VPN all that does is reroute your internet signal into a server in a different country, so it looks digitally or electronically that you are in that country instead of the U.S. I think Tunnel Bear has twelve or so "profiles" you can choose from, that cloak your American IP address with one from Canada, Japan, Denmark, Germany, Australia, etc. If you speak another language it would be easy to watch shows or visit sites through search results normally only available to persons in a particular country or region.
