Any other Downton Abbey fans disappointed by this season?
Comments (22)I normally don't lurk on this side of Home Decorating, but I peeked in and saw this thread. It gives me a chance to vent about this series. I'm a die-hard Upstairs/Downstairs fan and I tried watching Downton Abbey when it first aired but did not enjoy it. Almost every scenario they came up with was done and done much better in Up/Dwnstrs. After saying this I continue to tune in now and then and am amazed at how the writers think that staff would be interacting with the upstairs as much as they do in this series. Maids being asked for and having their advice taken? Staff conversing and engaged with family members so casually? I don't think so. Besides, Richard is such a weak version of Mr. Bellamy. lol I do have one question for avid fans - who did Mary have her indiscretion with that caused all the scandal?...See MoreDownton Abbey, new season
Comments (3)No , it is on Sunday nights. I think some nights are 2 hours, some one. If you missed it, you can go to Masterpiece Theater on PBS and see recent DA Love the program....See MoreDownton Abby fans - Season 2 & reruns of Season 1
Comments (7)I love this show. I have just returned from a long holiday in England and Ireland and I was able to see all the episodes of Series 2 except the last one before having to return home. Very frustrating as I don't think that Series 2 will be shown here for quite a while. I think that Series 2 is every bit as good as the first one - I'm sure you will enjoy it....See MoreSpeaking of Downton Abbey and downloading videos....
Comments (9)At one point, someone posted a BLOG that had links to Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife that could be streamed even when they were not on the PBS site. I thought I had it book marked, but I cannot find it now :( They had episodes, I think, even that had not aired in the US yet. Does anyone remember what that was? It was a not a blog you would have thought would have had the streaming video links (i.e. it wasn't like a TV Blog)....See MoreUser
