I am thinking a glass of wine or since it is sooooo cold....A hot cider with spiced rum....hmmmmmm......Stacy

I'd love a Hot spiced Cider...but I'll pass on the rum.

I hate rum, but bought some Hot apple cider stuff from Williams Sanoma. The demo person told me to add a shot of spiced rum to it. I figured if i didn't like it, I could dump it out and give away the rest of the bottle of rum. OMG! Was it ever good! I think if you have a chest cold or are just not feeling too well and not on any meds', a glass of hot apple cider with mulling spices and a shot of spiced rum will make you all better!

Now I want to buy some apple juice so I can make some......... I do have wine. Wine sounds good too. =o)

Oh I can't wait to see your cabinets! Progress on the outside of our place was good last week but not so great for the inside. There is still MUCH to do. The electrician and plumber were both suppose to show up Saturday and get the electrical done and get the house hooked up to the well. Neither one of them showed up. Was perfect weather this weekend and now it is raining out. I am a tad bit ticked off by neither one of them showing up. The builder stated two weeks ago we would be in by my birthday. I can't wait to call him tomorrow and tell him it is my birthday. LOL! So to answer your question on the move in date. I have no idea! LOL! I have not set up the closing date, I was suppose to set it up for Friday but something told me to wait so I am glad I did. We did took three boxes of toys out of storage for DD and she played for hours on her bedroom floor. I was sealing her grout in her bathroom and I kept hearing her say "OOHHHHH! I forgot I even had this!" It made me smile. Soon, very soon! BUT not soon enough *wink* I start my new job on Tuesday so all my free time is quickly slipping. We hoped to be moving today but no such luck. Maybe a couple more weeks. Good luck with the cabinets! What kind did you go with? Can't wait to see them! Kel

constanceann--we had the same bathroom as yours! Our plumber always said that the American Standard yellow was his favorite color! LOL I might be able to help with your tub height dilemma. We replaced the lovely yellow tub in that bathroom (ours was enameled steel I believe), and added one to the MB. We installed Toto cast iron tubs in both (the 1525 model). Our plumber had us install the tubs on top of the first layer of our plywood subfloor. The second layer of plywood runs up to the tub's apron (and then there's mud, thinset, and tile on top of that second layer). This way the tub is slightly sunken into the floor. The tub is a normal depth tub, but the step out, over the lip/top edge, onto the floor is a shorter step, if you know what I mean. I couldn't understand why our plumber had us install the tubs that way (thought it might be an aesthetic thing, just for looks, so the tub didn't look as tall and obtrusive perhaps), but the first time I actually used the tub, the lightbulb went on--"Ah-ha, it's easier to get out of the tub" (without whacking my shins on the side/top of the tub--which clumsy me did on many occasions!). Don't want to hijack, so do a search for my finished bathrooms and you can see the lovely before pics (yellow and all!) and you might see how the new tubs look height-wise. If not, email me and I'll try to take some pics showing that for you.

THANKSGIVING TO ALL!! I was thinking earlier today that we should have the turkey tonight and have those wonderful leftovers and sandwiches tomorrow with our feet up, watching the games! I love my friends and family and consider ourselves extremely fortunate today. I find myself being more compassionate and giving on a local scale and would do more if we could to provide shelter and food and clothing for those that need our help. Oh my gosh it is great isn't it debby.....totally amazing drink and sooo nice to watch a movie with and sit in front of the fire when it is cold...I did fix a glass of wine but think I am going to switch over LOL I also have mulling spices so I could also do mulled wine bu think you have turned me the other way LOL......not leaving the house tonight kid free Brians sleeping (had a super headache) might as well find a great movie cook dinner and have a hot cider and rum.....got my first trout fishing on the white river years ago forgot what they call it but thought wow this is great! Trust me patti if you tried it...man oh man....LOL Stacy

Haven't had any hot cider in a while. Was going to try it with some apple brandy at Thanksgiving. Got the idea somewhere, but can't remember where. Sounded good anyway.

Bottle of wine in the frig... sounds good. Bottle of champagne there too. Case of beer.... decisions, decisions! But I had a bunch of coffee this morning and about 6 glasses of iced tea for lunch. I'm pretty "fluid" for now!

Back when I had the store, the last location was always pretty cold. The heat didn't keep up. So on really cold days I'd fill the carafe with apple cider and put it on the coffeemaker base and let it warm it up and we'd have a pot of hot cider to drink. Keep filling it and there's hot cider all day long! Delicious!
