I brought home burritos for lunch today~~but we each only ate one, so I think burritos and fresh fruit or a salad;)

I fixed cubed steak, mashed potatoes, cream style corn, grands biscuits, yellow cake and iced tea to drink. It is getting chilly out here too, at 25 degrees. Very sunny all day though.

I made a fresh home made chicken salad for sandwiches tonight.

running around all day today--DH had a dentist appt, we were doing some shopping for supplies, etc.

Tonight--something easy--just waffles and bacon. Homemade waffles, though.

Pulled pork out of the pork that I made in the slow-cooker.
Fried potatoes to go with it.

All of your dinners sound good! Your waffles Azzalea put me in the mood for my homemade pancakes, but I don't have any sour cream, which is part of the ingredients.

Today I made the Taco Soup I was going to make a couple days ago. Turned out to be a good day for it though because it started to snow this afternoon and made it a perfect day for it. I missed the Tostitos that I usually have with it because I couldn't bring myself to pay $3.99 for a bag of them.

Last night I ate the last of DGD's cupcakes that I've had in the freezer since Christmas, so guess I'll have some ice cream later.

Patti, I meant to ask you if you have posted the recipe for the Fudge Upsidedown cake? I'd like to have it.

OMG, Glenda--that looks wonderful. On the weather tonight, they showed pictures of snow in B'ham. Be very careful if you have to get out!

YogaLady, enjoy a cook-free evening. We've always liked fruit with our meals. Don't know how it started, but it sure is good.

Brr, Sue! Cubed steak and mashed potatoes and gravy was almost a staple when I was growing up. Sometimes we had bread and gravy instead of the potatoes and I still prefer it.

Raven, I just love chicken salad. I have some turkey I didn't use tonight. Think maybe I'll make turkey salad for tomorrow night. Thanks for the idea!

Azzalea, your dinner sounds delicious, too. I am just stuffed from dinner (we aren't used to dessert), but everyone's meal sound good. Have you ever baked the bacon in the oven? I just learned how to do this and I doubt I'll ever fry it again--and it doesn't splatter all over the oven, either!

If we were neighbors, Jas, I'd lend you sour cream. It's like a staple at our house. Trade you sour cream for some fried potatoes ;-)

Sue, $4 for a bag of Tostitos is outrageous. I wouldn't buy them either. Your taco soup will keep you warm and cozy, but I hope your snow doesn't stick. Lucky you to have your talented GD's cupcakes in your freezer! I'll post the cake recipe tomorrow--I'm about ready for bedtime!

Thursday's are movie days for me during the winter months. We decided instead of lunch and movie it would be dinner and a movie. I had crab cakes and they were very good. The movie was A Royal Affair. We all enjoyed it.

I forgot to mention it was snowing like crazy on the way home. Why ever did I say I would drive?!!

Well, I want what Glenda was having for lunch. WoW!!

But instead we had Smoked Brats and Sauerkraut with a sour cream, mustard and horseradish sauce rolled up in a burrito. We hadn't had them in awhile and they were delish,

We had Mac n Cheese, a great cold winter night meal. Then around 10 PM tonight we made a hot gingerbread cake with hot lemon sauce topping....oh, YUmmmmm, that sure hit the spot. Even the dog had some. She's strange. LOL Most dogs wouldn't like gingerbread and lemon.
