What's for dinner Monday?

It has been a nice sunny day with a high of 71. Love the sunshine! For dinner we're having leftover ham loaf, potatoes au gratin with gueyere, a green salad and leftover dill rolls.

I didn't get much accomplished today, but I did make two loaves of Glenda's delicious banana bread. It's been hard to resist temptation and just devour it with cream cheese!

But but do you really think you need cream cheese on it :o)

Went to drop off GS's waterpik flosser at his mother's office, and being as I was near Sarris's, stopped and had a huge snapper filet, fried, with their baby green lima's.

I am cooking a huge amount of ribs today. Some for dinner, some for Bobby while we are gone and the rest go into the motor home for our trip. We will also have steamed rice and more than likely corn.

Our company left just before noon, after I fed them some nice unstuffed pepper soup. Sharon went home with some new recipes.

Pam, I love quiche and have leftover ham in the freezer. I should make one with ham, and onions, peppers and mushrooms. Hubby won't eat any hot cooked eggs, so it's me and my quiche. The last time I made hamburger rolls I posted a pic :) Cheri I love pot roast. I tend to make mashed potatoes on the side, instead of in the slow cooker. We like them that way better. Alice your dinner sounds great! We eat a fair bit of rice, just love it. Ellendi would you share your quinoa recipe on the Share your Recipe Thread???? We enjoy quinoa. That's the pits you had so much trouble finding the sriracha. Old Fixer, IS there such a thing as too much garlic? LOL Party, I was going to bake some sweet potatoes yesterday, but they are really small, so I mashed them along with white potatoes. We like them mixed. Matti, I've heard that In n Out burgers are good. Enjoy! Rhizo, we just had some homemade apple sauce that I took out of the freezer with a warm oatmeal-carrot muffin! Georgysmom, everyone deserves pizza at some point!

Jim congratulations on your upcoming cruise! I love it that you had wine with bacon and eggs. Audrey, your dinner looks and sounds fabulous. We had baked potatoes last nite. Shirley, I've yet to make red beans and rice. What's throwing me off from making it, much as I'd like to, is that we only have kidney beans, as far as a red bean, and I know that isn't the kind to use. I made quinoa with toasted almonds and red currants the other day. We like quinoa. Kath, for some reason companies change their recipes. In the event of making things healthier, taste gets compromised. Less fat and salt is less flavour it seems. Prairie Rose, do you make the light fluffy dumplings? That's what my Nan made and that's all I've ever known. I've never attempted it; I should! Raven, that looks divine!! We love roasted vegetables! Erin, I hope you feel better. That's dedication, coming onto a dinner thread when you're not feeling that great. Betsy, that's nice comfort food. Gyr_Falcon, that's a great sounding meal! Glad to see you here.

Gorgeous day here today. I made grilled chicken breast in cacciatore sauce with sliced fresh little tomatoes and served it over fettuccine topped with grated cheeses. It was awesome. I should have made garlic bread to go with it.

Glenda, cream cheese is a must around here! You had a nice lunch while you were out and about.

Nita, are you coming to Florida? Mike must be coming with you this time. Hope we can get together while you're here. I'd love to meet Mike. But I don't know if your plans include Florida or not. Ribs sound good but I only have some beef ribs in the freezer and we didn't care for them much so they'll go into my next pot of beef for vegetable soup.

I am off for MLK Day & wanted to make a nice dinner - I found a great recipe for cabbage rolls stuffed with roasted sweet potatoes, celery, onions, ground beef and a great sauce - just perfect for a winter night!

My DH usually does the cooking - I like to get in the kitchen once in a while too!

A friend of mine just got home from the hospital after having back surgery. On top of everything else, she has a cold so today I made chicken soup to bring to her. I decided to try a new recipe. DH does not like chicken soup but he actually liked it. YEAH! I thought it was good, too.

Fried rice with pork and lots of vegetables.
Using up some left overs before I make Swiss steak.

Ham, macaroni and cheese and carrot sticks. There were a few cookies left that DH made, so I had one of those too.
