Paw Paw Patch for country fried steak, creamed corn that I put on a split warm corn muffin and green beans! Sure was good!

Don't know. Probably just a salad and a couple of shrimp. Today was bridge day and my turn to have it. Don't really feel like cooking but probably should since tomorrow we're going out for dinner, Wednesday I'm going out for dinner. I should throw in a home-cooked meal for DH from time to time.

We've got another Arctic cold front in our area, and it's turned cold again. The high tomorrow is -18C and the wind chill will make it feel like -33C (-27F).

I made a turkey yesterday and turned some leftovers into Jambalaya with sausage and ham. (I never buy shrimp so it doesn't go in mine). It tastes great, and we're going to have it tomorrow.

Tonite we finished the tuna casserole and had a salad, and finishing up a strawberry/rhubarb pie later this evening.

I baked 2 sweet potatoes last nite for the first time and they dribbled caramel, which burned on to the dish. I pricked them as I do with all my baked potatoes, so I guess pricking them is a no-no. They tasted good, though.

Leftovers.......... pork chop, mashed potatoes w/gravy, and green beans.

It will be very cold here again this week. Highs will only be in the teens.

Glenda, sure wish you could post your dinners while you're cruising--we'd all be so jealous! Have all your shopping done and clothes ready to pack yet?

Georgysmom, I don't know why you have to cook a meal as long as your DH isn't complaining. Enjoy your dinners out, order something really good and bring him home the leftovers. LOL!

Jasdip, I'm sorry. That sounds so whiny that I'm complaining, but after you've lived down here a few years you get so used to the heat that when it gets down below 70 you really feel cold. I just love turkey and love to smell it roasting. I have the same problem with my sweet potatoes as you and I also prick them. I put them on foil now or parchment paper to save that awful sticky mess that has to soak off! I believe I have a sweet potato in the pantry. Better check 'cause I know if there's one in there it needs to be baked.

I have been doing laundry all day! Lol..one more mini load to wash..two white dress shirts..

I've been thinking about what to make for dinner a good portion of the day..
I've already baked Lemon Crinkles, Chocolate Snickerdoodles and Cinnamon Swirl bread..plus made some lemon muddy buddies. (The boys won't touch them, and I do prefer the traditional ones..so off to work they go tomorrow.)

So. I think looking in my fridge..the ground beef needs to be used..so. Kamren's favorite..Patty Melts

I had bought the stuff to make corn soup so I had to go with that. Not the best for our new meal plan but it could be worse. We love corn soup so it will be good.
Today was in the 70's but we have some chilly weather in our forecast this week.

Beautiful day here in TN. It hit 65 this afternoon but after today another very cold front will be with us all week.

Dinner for hubby was meatball grinders & I had mac & cheese that I made yesterday.

Well, I had hobo casserole (ground beef, potatoes, cheese, etc.) in the oven, when the smoke alarm went off!! I used a larger pan as it seemed a bit skimpy, but it still ran over and sent smoke out. Now I have a messy oven to clean. Darn, darn......I've pretty much lost my appetite for it by now!

Hey, Shirley. I saw that arctic blast is headed your way on the weather report. Stock up and stay in where it's warm. I'd love some mashed potatoes and gravy, please!

Terri, I can't imagine the amount of laundry you must do every week. It must seem like that's all you do! You know, I've never made patty melts at home. My guess is those boys are going to be happy campers.

Raven, enjoy the corn soup even though it isn't LC. Tomorrow is another day, you know. When Harry was doing LC, I missed a baked potato so much I could smell one a mile away. I guess I could've had one but it just didn't seem fair.

Mary--hi! Nice day you're having up there. Your DH's meatball grinder would taste so good--ah, well! One of these days I'll be able to open my mouth wide enough :-) I'm not a mac and cheese fan, though. Not sure why.

Phyllis, I hate when that happens. Last time it was baked sweet potatoes oozing like Jasdip was talking about above. Now that was a real mess. But, the hobo casserole sounds good anyway and I hope you're able to enjoy it.

We had a late lunch at Jason's Deli so we were happy with leftover pea soup.

I really like Jason's. I usually get a half corned beef sandwich on rye (no cheese, pleeze) with Russian and a visit to the salad bar. I tried a little of their couscous salad and was instantly smitten! I'm going to have to find that recipe!

I made rice pilaf and lobster cakes. (crab cakes but with lobster meat) They were quite tasty.
