That sounds good, Marilyn. I love mashed potatoes and gravy. Wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole when I was a kid and skinny. But now :-(

Leftovers, last night I made browned ground turkey with Gullah Seasoning, tri colored peppers, mushrooms ,fire roasted tomatoes and baby spinach. Easiest meal in the world! Oh and rosemary olive oil bread.

Well our blackened talapia was so good last night my husband asked if we could have a repeat tonight and I was happy to say yes because I devoured it last night. Tonight we will have oven roasted red potatoes to go with it and a spinach salad.

Gosh, all that food sounds so lip-smacking good. I was lazy and just popped a pizza in the oven.

Tonight we had what was left of the French onion soup and also the Mexicali meat pie. It sure was good and no cooking involved.

We went to the movies today. DH wanted to see Zero Dark Thirty after which we went to Bonefish. We had the usual Mussels Josephine to share and DH had fish and chips and I had another appetizer....coconut shrimp. We both brought half our food home so tomorrow night is looking pretty good!

Any leftovers, Marilyn? I'll even do the dishes! LOL!

Raven: What seasoning do you use on your tilapia? I have some tilapia in the freezer -- I really need to eat that!

I had a late lunch, a burger at Red Robin* with sweet-potato fries, so for my late dinner, I had some of this Hamburger Helper-type skillet dish I cook up: ground beef, rice, chopped bell peppers, corn and taco seasoning. (Usually I combine the taco seasoning with chili seasoning, but I wanted to go easy on my stomach this week!)

*: Red Robin has this new salted-caramel shake that I really wanted to try, but I was good (this time). Has anybody tried it?

Ugly day today. Bitterly cold and snow squalls.

I made Rhizo's potato soup recipe that she posted. I didn't have nutmeg, so I threw a bit of curry in it for depth. It's delicious. Had sandwiches along with it. Very filling!

I use the Zatarains blackened seasonings for fish,or Louisiana brand . I spritz the fish with either Olive oil or parkay liquid spray butter lightly to help the seasonings stick. I don't go crazy with the seasonings, lightly is good. I add a couple tablespoons of Olive oil to the pan and cook on high 4 minutes per side.

All your dinners sound great! Since we have to get take out food often or go out, we decided to have Wendy's, which I bet we have not ordered from in a year! I had the cod sandwich and DH had grilled chicken. We both had chili and it tasted really good on a cool day here in FL.
