OH it is smelling good in my house right now! I put a nice beef roast with fingerling potatoes and onions in the oven earlier it is making my mouth water, will cook rice to go with that wonderful onion gravy.

Leftovers from last night...soup and bread and salad

I decided to just have a pot pie tonight. It alone was enough for me.

Shirley, have you ever tried Marie Callander's pot pies? They're really large and really good--lots of chicken in the chicken pie. I should get a couple for emergencies (those days I don't want to cook ;0).

I was going to try a new recipe for an Asian inspired chicken soup so I went grocery shopping to get the few things I didn't have, ....bok choy, red bell pepper, green onions and rice noodles. I had to go to four different grocery stores for the green onions. Even Fresh Market didn't have any. I know, I know, I could have made it without them but I'm like a dog with a bone. I can't let go. By the time I got home, I didn't feel like cooking anymore. LOL We will have chicken stuffed ravioli with marinara sauce. Hopefully I get to the soup tomorrow.

DH says he feels like grilling tonight~~~a pork chop for him, a Morning Star BBQ rib for me and weet potatoes~~~YEA! then all I do is fix a salad and steam a veg;)

We had pork in the slow cooker, with mashed potatoes, broccoli and sauteed cabbage, onions and carrots.

There's a lot of pork left over which I'll add my homemade barbecue sauce to the sauce that it simmered in, and have pulled-pork sandwiches another day.

Sue, I sure miss my mother's homemade chicken noodle soup. She didn't make the noodles (a rarity) but used those really short thin ones. It was so good.

What's with the green onions, Georgysmom? Glad you found them. Seems like a lot of Asian soup recipes call for them--and they really do add a lot to the flavor.

Hi there, Jas! You've been mighty quiet lately and I miss your posts! I like pork roast--I put horseradish on mine. You had lots of yummy vegetables. Harry'd sure be happy!

We had company, so I served chicken breasts, plain and Parmesan, potatoes (they don't like pasta with it), asparagus, home made dinner rolls and a small cake made to look like a gift box. I made a few cupcakes with the leftover batter. I'm stuffed!

I cooked a pot roast with carrots, potatoes, onions, and celery in my crock pot for 4 hours. It was DELICIOUS and so easy; I'll definitely do it again!

I started chili before I went to church at 9:00 finished it when I came home at 10. We had it for lunch and dinner. It was really good and warming.

did a turkey breast in a cooking bag..put it on frozen at 12:30pm (325) and was ready by five...used a packet of onion soup along with the "required" flour and made a yummy gravy...did make it a little thicker with a bit of skim milk and extra flour...had veggies and cheated (been under the weather) and used stove top...but...won't again... dh and i are salt restricted and boy could you taste it! yikes! have enough for lunch and then will freeze rest for turkey noodle something, lol...

Patti DH is just feeling good enough to start making me crazy:) He had some of the beer with his lunch today~~I tasted it~~~it is just ick too me~~supposed to be a special brew:( I had wine with my dinner;)
