I'm not sure what you are trying to do. You cannot copy a photo that is part of a flash animation, perhaps that's the trouble.

To copy a photo from the Web, all you have to do is drag it onto your desktop.

To link to a photo, first right-click on the photo, and choose "open image in new window (or tab, if you prefer). Then Command-C the URL of that image in the browser.

Then, in your message here, simply type to close it up. Preview your message, and you should see the photo.

I've only had my apple for a few months and know next to nothing about it. I copy pictures from other sites by clicking on them and dragging them into iphoto (I have the icon at the bottom of my screen). Then I import them into Photobucket from my iphoto folder. HTH.

If you are just trying to get a picture on GW from photobucket you should be able to 'click' on the 'embed photo' then copy and paste here. Does this make sense? I used to have an apple and it was pretty much the same procedure as a pc as far as GW is concerned.

This may not be the 'right' way but it generally works. I make a photo of the photo (or text) by putting the cursor in one corner of the pic and pressing the command, shift, 4 keys one at a time. This gives me a circle with an x,y axis through it. Now click and drag across the pic and release. The pic should appear on your desktop and you get it to photo bucket, iphoto or anyplace else you want to store it.

On a Mac, pressing the ctrl key on the keyboard while clicking is the same thing as a right click. Then you can do the 'save as ...' routine from the popup menu.

Or you could just get a two-button USB mouse, they work fine on Macs. :-)

As far as saving in a flash slideshow - YOU CAN! I don't know if this works for Mac, but you can add Picnik to your tools in windows and then it will allow you to import from a slideshow, crop, and most importantly resize :) I have been trying to print out ideas and put them in my notebook for my architect/builder, and picnik has allowed me to send things to shutterfly to print from slideshows. . . . I generally have to save them as 150% of their imported size to get them to print in a 4 x 6 - I can then pop them into my Avery 3 ring binder photo pages - works great!
