How do I get my desktop Icons back?
Comments (8)"LOL" Cboy yep I am quick for sure. Ha! I followed your instructions and then I rebooted to make sure those icons would stay in place. Before I posted here I wanted to make sure that everything was working normal, after I rebooted walla those icons came back. "Smiles" Thank you so much for your help. This was a simple fix but I didn't know it at the time. I right clicked on the desktop to find that the backround had been changed, so I changed that but I had forgotten how to get the icons back. I still don't know how the backround got changed and my right clicking on the desktop was a stab in the dark, but when I did that I remembered to check the backround and that is when I discovered that what I was thinking was a white screen turned out to be an internet wallpaper backround. Myself I don't like that even being there, it gives you a false impression of something being wrong because it shows a white screen with gray lines. Thanks cboy for all of your help and I will post on the other thread a thank you to those who stepped in to help me. I have always trusted this forum for the wonderful help that you all provide. thirdfrt!!!...See MoreCan anyone with an apple computer help me
Comments (10)As far as saving in a flash slideshow - YOU CAN! I don't know if this works for Mac, but you can add Picnik to your tools in windows and then it will allow you to import from a slideshow, crop, and most importantly resize :) I have been trying to print out ideas and put them in my notebook for my architect/builder, and picnik has allowed me to send things to shutterfly to print from slideshows. . . . I generally have to save them as 150% of their imported size to get them to print in a 4 x 6 - I can then pop them into my Avery 3 ring binder photo pages - works great!...See MoreResearching for a Desktop Computer
Comments (19)Snidely, When going to Wal-Mart always be careful in what you buy. Their Return Policies are so liberal that: I saw a Logitech Mouse I didn't recognize (thought I knew every Logitech mouse out there) and when I picked up the package I found out why I didn't recognize it. Someone had returned their Old Microsoft Mouse in the Logitech Package. Of course Wal-Mart didn't bother to look at the returned product or they would have seen this right away (thru the plastic). I also purchased a set of The Rain-X Wiper Blades ($20 for each blade). Mine were so bad I went right out to the car and started to change them while in the parking lot. When I took the Blades out of the package they were falling apart. Someone had returned their Old Blades (which were worse than the Blades I was replacing). I walked right back in and Returned them for my money back! I told them that they were welcome to come look at the blades I was replacing and the blades I purchased there 5 minutes before! Anyway, they just gave me my money back! Just saying, be careful when shopping at Wal-Mart. Lot's of Opened Items on the Shelves being sold as New! They just return the Returns to the shelves and never inspect them. Maybe this differs from Store to Store, but this is the policy at the Wal-Mart I shop at!...See MoreSearching for a compact Apple desktop
Comments (3)An iMac G4 is probably 15 years old and while it may be acceptable for what you want to use it for the challenge is going to be finding modern software that will run on it. Apple has long since stopped offering security updates for hardware that old and likely for your 2009 MacBook as well. There are at least 10 pages of used Mac minis for sale on eBay if that's what you want. There are ultra small PC's on the market as well but it sounds like you would be more comfortable with a Mac....See MoreBrooke Lewis
