I like Top Chef..but for some reason this season isn't really grabbing me..I've watched every episode..but I'm not totally into it.
I like to watch Gordon but not on Hell's Kitchen..he's to brash to much the whole show for me.
I used to watch the original Iron Chef too..I don't like the Alton version.

My favorite shows are Nigella and Paula. I also like to watch the Food Network Competitions..and sometimes Throwdown with Bobby Flay. Oh and Caprial and John they are on PBS here. They go on field trips. :o)

I don't watch cooking shows too much but when there's nothing else on TV at night I like to see the Spanish cooking channel
"Canal Cocina" where Jamie Oliver is on most nights. There is also one program that I think is a gem called "Los Fogones Tradicionales" which shows the old style of Spanish cooking over a fireplace in a little old house in a kitchen that consists of nothing more than a wooden table and the fireplace. There they show how some of the traditional Spanish recipes were put together and cooked with no modern appliances, just using a bowl and spoon. There are still places in Spain where cooking is done this way.

Wolf has his TV tuned to the German channels and he regularly watches "TV Gusto" (click on this link and a video about olive oil production starts to play) which is a channel having some top German chefs at work, as well as competitions.

I've been DVR'ing some of the PBS shows lately-Everyday Baking and America's Test Kitchen, although Christopher Kimball sometimes gets on my nerves. He's a bit pretentious for my taste. I think he may have a bit of the Napoleon complex, although he certainly knows his stuff. I also LOVE Nigella, but I can't watch her when I'm tired because her voice is so soothing I will fall asleep during the show!

Guess I have fewer favorites now than previously. I'm a big Top Chef fanatic and have been from the beginning. I like Lidia on PBS and need to find out when Sara Moulton will be on that station.

I've gotten so tired of Throwdowns, Rachael, Emeril, Paula, etc. that I've started watching Dangerous Catch on Discovery - LOL! Now, those guys are going to the source! Wish our Travel Channel was available so I could watch Anthony Bourdain again.

I don't like any of the Food Network shows on cable. There are more shows that I hate than ones I like. All the ones I like are on PBS, and include Simply Ming, America's Test Kitchen, and Marianne Esposito (forgot the name of her show). I'll watch Bitman, but he's a bit annoying for me and too overbearing. I'll also watch Rick Bayless but never learn anything from him, since I've had extensive experience with Mexican food. He goes to a lot of the same places in Mexico that I've been to, which is what I like to see. I sometimes watch Lydia, but I hate it at the end of the show when she tastes her own food and her eyes roll back in her head. I wish she would skip that part. I don't really learn anything new from her either. The worst show on PBS is Everyday Food. It's extremely boring and predictable, and they can't make anything without putting salt and pepper on it. That is not how I cook. I frequently use no salt or else use soy sauce or something else salty instead of salt, and I tend to use chilies instead of black pepper, although black pepper has its place - just not in everything. There used to be a lot more shows on PBS that I loved - in the distant past. Floyd on Food was the most entertaining, although he admitted having some of the worst recipes. I also liked Cookin' Cheap and wish I could get that on DVD. That was the funniest cooking show ever, although I would certainly never make any of their recipes either, but then that wasn't the point of that show.

I'm afraid I don't care for most of them anymore.

I still enjoy Tyler's "Best of" and also "French Cooking at Home"......not sure if you get that in the States. I also enjoy the odd episode of Dinner Impossible, just for it's entertainment value. Absolutely love "At the Table With....." but it's not on on a regular basis.

Newbie here! I'm sure this is an extremely unpopular opinion as I'm sick of most FN shows by now too, but I really like "Everyday Italian". The show itself really irritated me at first (Okay, we get it! You're pretty! Enough of the cleavage!) but the recipes are really great. I've really loved nearly every one that I've tried and most are really quite easy to make with not too many ingredients.

Definitely "Good Eats". Barefoot Contessa, Paula Deen and Tyler are also my favorites. Their recipes always turn out great for me.

I really enjoy Top Chef [sans the expletives] when they give the contestants a really good challenge.

I like good eats when it's more than just 101.

I enjoy Iron Chef because i always learn something about the highlighted ingredient.

I don't like the entertainment cooking shows. For example I don't like Emeril Live nearly as much as the Essence of Emeril. And all of the cleavage at FN belongs in the bedroom and at the beach not with food I'm going to eat. I'm tired of the s@xualizing of the food network. I rarely watch it anymore.

The PBS Create channel is where I turn to watch most of my cooking shows. I especially like the watch Chef Hubert Keller, Lidia Bastianich, and Master Class, Johnson and Wales Cooking School.

I recently saw Lidia make Poached Gnocchi Grande and wonder if anyone here has the book with the recipe in it. If you do, would you post it please? It's nowhere to be found on the web.

Im really starting to steer away from FN,but i still watch Barefoot. My favorites are Lidia,Caio Italia with Maryann Esposito,Around the Worldvwith Mark Bittman and Sam the Cooking Guy!

My own favorite is Campfire Cafe with Johnny Nix (a retired blacksmith/farrier, LOL). It's on RFD TV.

I also like America's Test Kitchen on PBS and try to watch Ellie Krieger at 1 p.m. on Saturdays doing the healthy cooking show. I still like Good Eats.

My latest favorite is the Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods with Anthony Zimmern". LOL The stuff he eats is just.....interesting.

Barefoot Contessa when it's not a repeat, but it almost always is a repeat, Michael Chiarella's show, but it's not on as much as it used to be., Molto Mario, and Everyday Italian - can you tell I like Italian food? Like everyone else, I've all but quit watching the go to restaurants and eat network, aka the food network. I keep forgetting to set up the recorder on Saturdays to tape America's Test Kitchen. there was one Saturday I was working from home, so I looked up when it would be on, and what else might be on PBS that day. Sadly, most of the cooking shows are gone from their lineup. I used to love Jaques Pepin, but his show wasn't on the schedule.

I like Top Chef, Iron Chef, and some of the competition shows, but that guy on Hell's Kitchen should really consider anger management counseling. I just don't get why anyone would want to work for him, much less consider that being a prize to strive for. They should make the losers be the ones to have to be executive chef at his restaurant. I really think his behavior borders on criminal, but since that show has got to be as real as championship wrestling, I imagine he'll never serve time for his behavior, since it's all probably an act. At least I hope so. I sure hope he doesn't treat his family that way.
