I save all six pages as one file, so I don't upload them individually. It all goes together. I've always called the file "index.htm". I pasted the instructions below that I found. When I follow these directions, I get a box saying "cannot save 'index.htm'. The folder is marked as 'read only'." I checked the publisher file, and it is not marked "read only". The other day, when I first tried uploading after making the changes to the Publisher file, I didn't get that message, but I may have been doing something differently. I've found different instructions and tried all kinds of things. When I click on properties for the network ftp location, it says "This server does not support changing file permissions". When I right-click the files in the ftp location, and look at "properties", it says "does not support changing file permissions". The file in the ftp location that is called "index.htm" shows that it was last updated in June 2009, so I must have done something to a different ftp file the other day when some of the changes to the Publisher index.htm file uploaded. I guess I will be the only positive post in this thread. ;) DH and I have a DirectBuy membership, although when we got it it cost around $2000 if I recall correctly. We were students at the time and have since gotten married (invitations and accessories came from DB) and bought a house. We also got our full set of appliances + big upright freezer for excellent prices. It's also a good place to get some gift items - like the Royal Doulton set we got for my MIL. Can't forget our big tv and entertainment set also. One of the good things is that they have a lot of different manufacturers to choose from with an endless selection. I can be indecisive so sometimes all the selection is a bad thing however. ;) Some items the deals are not that great on - for example certain electronics items. Others are more than 50% off (like that Royal Doulton stuff). Overall I think we have gotten our money's worth. It's also nice not to have to wait for sales, we can just buy whenever. Delivery times can be up to 6-8 weeks depending on where the item is coming from (I'm in Canada). However we got our appliances 3-4 days after ordering (was supposed to be 6-8 wks also) so I guess it depends on what the manufacturer has in the warehouse. Oh, one more thing they have at our local store - gas, grocery, and restaurant gift cards which you get at a discount (handy, since it's stuff I'd buy anyway, and very nice with the price of gas!). I can totally see how folks who are not planning to buy many "big ticket" items would lose money on this. Also, I was not a fan of the hard sales pitch, yuck! But overall it's not nearly as bad as the other posts made it seem IMO.

We understand that NVR Dan Ryan Homes, probably not the best builder. These posts serve very little purpose. As far as sizing: Our 3600 sq ft house in Indiana served fine by 3.5T AC with 4T coil 110K BTU furnace, my neighbour chose to upgrade his house 3200 sq ft to 3.5T and the system is not working properly. Cools down pretty fast without removing moisture. My planned 4,000 sq ft engineered ( by us ) has total demand load 2.5T (2800BTUH), but because of Manual S and the heating load 68k matching equipment from AHRI directory may have to go 3.5 or even 4T. furnace will need to deliver 72k heat, but to deliver this BTUH it has to have higher CFM rating on the blower. while you can have a different CFMs on cooling and heating... The ductwork design does not work well when cooling CFMs are 980s and heating CFMs 1490s. So Manual S calls for higher rated AC or ASH unit. Without knowing locations and the load, I think calling NVR Dan Ryan Homes HVAC Sizing SCAM is a little harsh. The ZoneX system does not compensate for load, it probably balances upper and lower floors temperature. Without it there would a significant temperature difference between floors. NVRs issue in my opinion is not with sizing, rather not so good exterior details that leak air.
