bereavement question / ettiquette

Hi everyone,

I don't post very often, and wish I could visit the site more frequently, but I have learned a lot from you folks -- so when I am in need of advice, you are the first place I think to ask.

My mother passed away in the spring -- and now my parents' wedding anniversary is fast approaching (would have been 52-years) I see my Dad frequently, and will likely see him on that day. Do I just merely mention that I know the day is tough for him? Do I send a card of any sort? Do I remind my less-than-sensitive sibs (who don't live nearby) to call him? Would that make the day harder for him?

Being bereaved is new territory for me. Thanks for your replies.
