Where did you see the info about the 800 series and the 500 plus series. I can still just find the current models of the Nexxt 100, 300, 500, 700 and DLx and platinum series. I didn't find anything about the series you mention. It would be interesting to know if Bosch is going to introduce new washers...

I found the info right on the BOSCH website; here is the url for the exact location... There is no mention of the platinum or the 700 series any more.... the top of the line is the 800 series, then 500 plus then 500... The plus is in platinum or white and has the chrome feature of the old 700 series and the 800 series seem to only be available in white...

I just wanted to bump this thread. My fiance and I are moving into a new condo in a few weeks and we want to update the washer dryer. We were basically all set on the Nexxt 500, but then saw this post about the "500 plus". Any word on what differentiates it from the 500? Any word on pricing? Any word on availability? Any info would be much appreciated.

You can compare the washers of the Nexxt series on the website that sal836 posted above. The 500 Plus seems to be slightly more energy efficient, it has the eco option and it looks more like the 700. The 700 is not mentioned anymore on that website, so I guess that the 800 will replace it.
We will buy a new washer and dryer this fall and I will definitely keep an eye on these new models.

LG has had this feature on it's dryers for a while now. I am only 38 years young (lol); so the washer and dryer I just parted ways with was a gift (college graduation) from my parents and I had them w/no problems for 17 yrs. but I thought all dryers had this moisture sensor feature. Or could it be that the older moisture sensors would simply shut the unit off once the clothes were dry?

Well, I was hoping to hear from Bosch_Chris but I guess he stopped checking out this site.. So far I found out that the 800 series will come in "white" and "silver & white".
What "silver & white" actually means, I do not know.. I have yet to get any solid answers from calling Bosch. It sounds like the washers will be ready to purchase on June 1, I'm eager to see one in person. I've asked for a broshure but have not received one yet.
If anyone has any more info, or knows what store will have them on display, please let me know.

did you check out the pictures on the website you recommended? It has pictures of the Nexxt 800 in 'white' and 'silver & white'. It looks like the door and the front are either just white or silver, and the rest of the washer is always white. The overall design is a little different from the older models. I think the 500plus looks really interesting. Do you think the fancier LCD display of the 800 is worth the extra money or is it just something else that could break?

I saw the picture on the web site, and I was afraid that was what "silver & white" meant. I was hoping that it was just a bad picture or shadow effect that caused the sides to look white. I would like the LCD for the extra options like quick wash in any mode or temperature. I will need a washer/dryer to be completely silver since it will be next to my stainless steel kitchen. Worst case, the 500 plus will work, I love the fact it has chrome details compared to the plain looking 500. I hate to sound so vain but after re-doing an entire kitchen, it becomes real important that the laundry room matches it as much as possible and white just doesn't work...

I like the looks of the 500plus with the chrome accents as well. I'd go for the white one, but I understand that you want it to match your kitchen. Our w/d will actually be in the kitchen, but the kitchen is neither remodeled nor stainless steel...;-)
It doesn't make sense to me that the more expensive 800 doesn't come in steel (without white) or platinum. I haven't seen the LCD in person, but it does sound interesting. Our local Lowes store didn't have the 700, I hope they'll have the 500 plus and 800 soon so I can check them out.

June 1 came and went and I have yet to hear any new info on the 800 or 500 plus washers. I can't seem to find when they will be available for purchase. I requested their new product catalog and there was no mention of these new items. The catalog was dated Spring/Summer 2007...
I also called Bosch and the people answering the phones don't seem to know much about any of their products nor anything about their company (kind of scary)

Any new info on the rollout would be appreciated...

Glad to see your still out there, you mentioned the second half of the year but the News Release mentions June (see the above thread of the News Release). Is there a delay in the roll out??

Also your website mentions the 800 series as their NEW top of the line model but it only comes with a silver door and white all around (or an all white model)... Why would they not make a top of the line model all in silver (Platinum)... Is there any advantage of the white top/sides like it being more durable??

The success of the current product and meeting the current demand have moved our need to introduce new products to later this year. Its not really a delay, its just that we want to use our production capacity to meet the current high demand.

The 800 with the silver and the white is a new look. Yes, its a bit different and it may not be perfect for everyone. However, our products have long stood out due to their quality and we wanted to introduce a design that made the products stand out as well. As for a completely silver product, if this is the design you want, I would recommend the silver 500plus that will be available around the same time.

The ECO Option is another thing that has been questioned here. This option will reduce energy consumption EVEN FURTHER on our already industry leading high efficiency washers. Yes, energy efficiency has always been a key feature of front loaders (especially the ones from Europe) but this is a new way to save even more on top of that. I can tell you how it works when we get closer to the launch.

The 500plus has LED display while the 800 has the LCD screen (like the current 700 Series).

I finally received an email from someone at Bosch stating that the new rollout date for the Bosch 800/500 Plus washers are going to be in September of this year. That means another 3 months of waiting. I'm glad my new Kitchen/Laundry Room is still not finished...

I am ordering my appliances in the next week or two and I looked at the Bosch site and could find nothing on the 500 Plus. I called Bosch and they mention the washer used less water, eco option and a jeans cycle. The dryer had a better wrinkle release cycle. It is a little more $$ but not enough to keep me from buying.

You can find some information about the new washers on the Bosch website. However, it seems as if they keep making changes to that chart and it isn't perfect yet (e.g. triple listings of a feature) and they don't list the water usage anymore. However, you can find the information on the energy star website now. The 500 Plus actually uses MORE water than the 500 while the 800 uses less. Both new models have the eco-option, so I am really curious why the water efficiency differs by almost 10%.

Applemac, where did you get the photo, anymore available, I would love to see some close-ups of the 800 series and the 500 plus in Platinum.

I was unable to get an exact date in September but two weeks from now will be great. I called Lowes and Pacific Sales, and neither had info yet. Starting September 1st, I'll be making phone calls to Bosch to try and get more info out of them.

Hello Everyone. To asnwer the question about where I am, I'm in Germany on a year long assignment, so I might not still be the best source of information as I'm a little out of the loop. To the best of my knowledge the Sept. launch date we talked about earlier is still the same. The panel pictured of the 500plus is actually the 500. As for the features, you guys have already listed most of them. Really the best things about these is that they both have all chrome design (a matter of personal taste I know) and they have the ECO Option for a cycle that takes a little lnger, but still cleans just as well and uses up to 20% less energy. Can you explain why there is a difference of almost 10% in water efficiency between the 500 Plus and the 800? I know the 800 has a more flexible set of cycles, but doesn't EPA just use the plain "normal" cycle to determine the water and energy efficiency? Does the 500 Plus use more water for the wash or rinse by default? Hope you can help to clear this up. We still have a few weeks before we'll actually buy a new washer and I am trying to decide which model to get.

The website that applemac posted was very useful;
It showed prices and specs for both the 500 plus and 800.
The specs are an adobe acrobat file and stated the energy usage for both were the same: 151kWh/yr and 5904 Gallons of water per year for each washer. I would trust the spec sheet before the website. I already have seen too many errors on the website. There is also was a bigger pitcure of the 800 series. I'm not impressed with silver on white so the 500 plus in chrome will be the one for me. Also the 800 in white or silver/white are at the same price $1299 while the 500 plus (silver) is priced at $1199 and the 500 plus (white) is priced at $1099

I checked out the AJ Madison website again and found the same numbers that the energy star website shows. Even on the Bosch website they had posted these numbers until a few weeks ago. I found the number of 5,363 gallons for the Nexxt 800. It is just bugging me that I can't find any information where the difference comes from.
We want to buy a white washer and we are mainly looking at the 500 or 500 plus. $1,099 for the 500 plus is not too bad. I hope Lowes will have it priced like that. I do like the chrome accent and the eco option wouldn't hurt either. I hope the product manuals will be available soon so I can check out if they modified the temperatures.

If you go back to that same web site and select "Info & Guides" and then double click on the "Specification Sheet", you will see a washer Spec Sheet, it has 5904 gallons per year for the 800. I guess just another discrepency with the info.

As far as the door itself, the 500+ and 800 looks the same to me looking at the pictures from AJ Madison but I could be wrong. Time will Tell...

Lowe's has the 500 machines for something like $879. If you have or can get a 10% off coupon that makes it even less. On top of that in CA you get the discount from the power company and the gas company, bringing the price down to below $700!

To me, the new models, the 500+ and the 800 seem to have a different door from the older 500 model. The window seems bigger in the pictures. Maybe I'm seeing things - hard to tell frrom pictures. I was hoping someone who had actually seen one could comment.

Our old washer has offically been declared dead as of last night- I wish these new ones would hurry up and arrive!

Is there a quick wash 25 option on the 800 series? If not, anyone know how a quick general wash can be achieved on that machine?

The 800 will replace the 700 and I think it is very similar. They don't have the quick wash 25 option, but you can manually decrease the cycle times of all the cycles via the LCD. You can do a search for the 700 and read how that one works...

Well, I finally took the plunge and bought a Bosch 500 Plus Washer/Dryer today!!!!!

I think I got a great!!

I first want to let people know that now through the end of the year there are up to $125 rebate on all Bosch Washers. Mine has a $100 rebate. The 800 series has the $125 rebate.

I bought them at Pacific Sales and I almost think the sales person might have made a mistake because out the door I paid under $2300 (including tax and free delivery, $2200 if you count the rebate. And that was for the ones in silver, it included the pedestals and the extended service plan (for four more years at $64 each).

I verified the model numbers so she did order the right ones. I was going to wait to see them but once she told me the price I didnt hesitate.

Ive done a lot of research, and it seems that there are no perfect brands anymore. I just hope I fall in the majority of Bosch owners and become very satisfied with my purchase decision. (At least I wont feel that they were over priced.)

Congrats!! I ordered mine two weeks ago. Where did you get the information about the rebates? Because I ordered a whole house full of appliances I got mine for around $2,000. inc. delivery. And the dryer is LP ready according to Bosch and my appliance store which saved me another $65.00. I am with you about the NO PERFECT brands anymore. After building 8 houses, I think I have tried them all. Good luck to us both, I also got the bosch dishwasher.

My local appliance store, Pacific Sales had the info. They gave me the form which mentions all washers from Bosch. The form states: purchases from Sept 1 -Dec 31. The fine print refers to California and Northern Nevada. It ranges from $50-$125. It also mentions Purcell Murray dealers which must mean Pacific Sales is that type of dealer.

Wow $2000!!! Does that price include pedestals? and the Silver 500 plus? Lowes told me that the price was $1300 just for the washer. At $900 from PS I was shock over the price difference. My dryer was the gas dryer...

Since I live in Maine I guess that won't help me!!! I did not purchase a pedestal and my washer/dryer are white with the chrome trim.

I wasn't able to find anything other than the $50 rebate on washers only, and that was only with spedific dealers. However i did read that my electric company - I'm in MD is giving the Energy Star rebate. You may want to check your utility company. I'm thinking that the $50 dealer rebabe may be coming from the the Energy Star rebate. If anyone has any more info on rebates, please post. I just put a deposit on a GE set with stand. My appliance dealer has a floor model Bosch set that I didn't think would fit in my laudry room (depth issue). I may change my mind and get the Bosch. Any info on this would be helpful.

I happened to move to Texas early and I have ordered the 500 Plus set last week. I also ordered a Bosch dishwasher. They gave me the 10% movers discount in addition to a 10% that the sales person typed into the computer right away. Originally, he told me that he can't use the movers coupon because he already adjusted the price and that I could use it for another project. Then he called a manager and did enter the coupon after all. I got all three appliances for $2650 including the extended warranty (total of 5 years) and taxes. I think I can even get $50 for delivery back after mailing in the receipt. I am very happy and hope that all goes well with delivery and installation. It will be a tight fit in our kitchen. If all goes well they'll deliver the appliances this weekend...:-)
