XPost re Anti Vibration pads for front loaders

User

Our front loading machine is on the 2nd floor of our house and we had a real problem with vibrating. It shook the entire house when it was on the spin cycle and it was really bothersome for several reasons. I read about these in the appliance forum (I think) and wanted to let everyone here know, THEY WORK!! They absorb 90% of the vibration and we don't even hear the machine anymore.

In case anyone is interested, this is the site I got them from. If you have a matching set, do yourself a favor and get 8, you'll save money if you do. They're thick and will make the machines uneven if you only have a set on one and not the other. I was also surprised at how easy they were to install. Just tip the machine to one side and slide them under the foot. The raised height is nice too. It's not recommended to use the pedestals when machines are on the 2nd floor and the added height makes it easier to load and unload them.

Here is a link that might be useful: Anti vibration pads.
