Update on daughter

Just got a call from the dr. who is taking care of my daughter. They are concerned about fluid she is retaining around the heart and lungs and called for permission to do a procedure to aspirate some fluid to see what they are dealing with. One bit of good news is they plan on moving her from acute care to a regular room. I am going to the hospital Thursday but will try to get a call in to her room tomorrow. Satine

Thanks for the update, Satine. It really is good news that they're moving her out of acute care. Perhaps a test of the fluid will tell them something, and they can adjust her treatment accordingly. I hope you get to talk to her.

Yes, I did tell her this was my choice, and she seemed surprised! She thought I liked one leather couch and one of the fabric. I thought that with a smaller room, the same cohesive look would be best. BTW - The fabric in these photos look like a crushed velour or faux suede when the fabric is actually a slightly nubby/heavy linen look fabric. Thanks for all the support and kind words! Our next project is to find a large basket to keep all those pillows in when they are not needed to look pretty. ;)

Update on missing daughter

You did not say how old your daughter was. If she is of age, this modifies the term missing. She may have simply just gone away to get some space. However, you will be kept in our prayers. If she is of age, it changes the charges in regard to the theft of your car. filing it as theft was the proper thing to do. Taking it without permission is a big no no (and she knows it). Do you suspect there is another party involved, say a guy. Maybe it was him who took the car. On the other side of the coin, she could have taken the car for simple trip near home and met with accident. I suppose that did not happen. Another scenario was that she 'borrowed' the car for simple shopping trip and got car jacked. I suppose you know more about the situation than tou are revealing and hopefully, that probability is low. You must be beside yourself with worry. However, I'd be really ticked off with the loss of my car as well as worried about the person.

Hi all. I know things are confusing. She was stopped in DC because the car had been reported stolen. When stopped the car was searched and drug paraphanalia was found. No drugs. The charges against her were filed in Montgomery Co Md and since she was stopped in DC they held her. Montgomery Co has three days (not counting weekends and holidays) to transfer her. Since they have not done that yet she is still in DC being held for Mont. Co. Montgomery county has already told me that the car charges won't hold because she was not verbally told to return the car. Duh, she was missing! We face booked, texted, voice mailed, emailed etc but they are saying there is no way to prove she ever got any of the messages. My middle daughter has made some good contacts and we are hoping there is a treatment option for her. So many questions ahead. I am taking the car to carmax this afternoon after work and selling it for whatever they will give me. I never want to see it again. Thank you all for your concern and support. Are you able to talk to your dd daily on the phone? It might be nice for her to hear your voice, even if she acts as if she doesn't care. Just a thought. I hope you feel a little more settled today and I'm glad to hear she is doing well enough to move rooms. We'll hope the fluid situation clears itself up.
