Successful kidney transplant

Jannie got her transplant Friday Jan 13th. All went well. She is in the hospital very comfortable. Lab tests are up and down. She will be coming home on Tuesday. If you want to send a get well card mail to Jannie, 30 Jericho trpke #128 commack ny 11725. Don't worry it is a business address not get home address. Thanks!

My Mom had an attitude that things generally work out. Guess I got that from her. We were very close in heart if not geographically close her last few years. I still miss her . Sometimes I feel so bad that half my family of six is now gone. But I do have two wonderful daughters and I hope to have many good years with them. The little one is engaged, graduating from college next year, and plans to move to Florida. She promises to have an extra room for me. Older daughter graduates next month, it will be interesting to see how her life unfolds.

It's Wednesday morning. I slept well last night, but when I woke up my left hand looked swollen. The bandage will be off in just a few hours. Also have an appointment at the transplant center to go over my kidney readings.

Oh, how wonderful. My husband and I drove my twin sister on a March night three and a half hours to the hospital in 2000 to get hers. It was so exciting as I am sure it must be for Jannie and family.

This is Jannie herself. My daughter did the posting for me. I know a "little' about my donor. She was 53 years old-a "kid" compared to me,I'll be 60 in November. And they told me she saved nine lives with her donation. I hope she's in Heaven right now being congratulated by The Big Guy.
