It would help to know what kind of food you're planning on serving / who your target clients are... But first thing that came to my mind was Fireman's Fine Foods!

I'd try doing a Google search for caterers in your area, that way you can know what names NOT to use.

I have a catering business I named it because my family is always singing my praises saying Oh My Sister Eileen blah blah blah and too I like the movies from the 40's so I named mine "My Sister Eileen's Catering" when I owned a florist years ago its name was Eileen's Bloomers and the sign had a lady bending in the garden with her underware showing...people loved that! Where are you from? Are you cooking from a store front? Do you have employees? I can give you some tips...beware this is not an easy business.

I can think of things not to use, such as the street name or your name, in case you want to move or sell the business. I would think about what the focus of your catering will be, and play off that, or be inspired by something meaningful to you, or something you really like. Oh, and isn't there supposed to be a "k" sound? I remember that from interviews I've seen of the woman that came up with Spanx (sp?) hosiery. She had read somewhere that names that have that sound in them are considered more catchy or something. Now that I think of it, the word "catering" does have that sound, doesn't it, so you have that base covered.

The caterer that I use all the time when I need to be more hotess than cook and server is not too original. She calls it, "Christene Cooks".

She does catering for groups AND families. She also has cooking classes for those with Celiac Disease, Diabetes, and IBS. She can do specialty meals that meet dietary conditions and religious dietary guidelines. She now has a couple of "sous" chefs who've joined her and she offers everything from once a week to each day of the week meal delivery from her professional kitchen, and you can arrange for personal chef services for one event to each day.

I recommended my caterer/chef to a friend who lived alone and was recovering from back surgery. She hired a personal chef for meal prep for the first month out of the hospital. She said it clearly made a big difference in her recovery. Her insurance actually paid for about 3/4th of the cost because her doctor wrote a prescription for her care as a part of her discharge plan, that included meal preparation.

My caterer/chef is also a certified nutritionist and dietician, and meets many insurance company guidlines.

She does things that are spectacular and she can do good down home comfort foods.

She is about 35 years old and went to culinary school in Seattle I think, and in France. She worked with several well known chefs and spent a few years at a high end spa.

She isn't cheap, but she is a wizard with food and makes it appear effortless in the kitchen. And all her serving staff are excellent. She cleans up and I would never have known she had been there!

I wish you all the luck for success! And, I like the name of "Fireman's Fine Foods" and think the "FFF" will make a pretty script written initials on aprons and towels and things.

It makes it seem like you will put out all the fires and be a first responder to the event needs of the hostess or organization!

How about "The Fireman's Wife Cooks".

Using the word "fireman" makes me think that a fireman is cooking the food! LOL

Fireman has a great image in itself, but the fact that she is married to a fireman is irrelevant to the business. Even the thought of a house on fire may be a mental distraction to potential customers.

I think the name has to be evocative of food.

Are you using a licenced and approved kitchen? Got insurance? These could be issues.

One of the most popular caterers in LA is Along Came Mary, which is an easy-to-recall song reference, and incorporates her name. I'd say that too many caterers try for clever, and overlook something that's easy to remember.

How about "Fantastic Foods"? You'll have to live up to the name, however.

BTW, there is a restaurant here in Venice called "The Firehouse", and I believe the building used to be a firehouse. Anyway, they have lots of antique model trains in the main dining room.

In L.A. we also have "Moveable Feast". They cater to private schools w/o their own lunch programs!

Hey we have a caterer called A Moveable Feast, too. I'm not good at this stuff. When we had a sandwich business many years ago, we called it JPB Enterprises -- the first initials of my son's name, my name and my then-husband's name.

How about "Delicious" or "Delicious Dishes". Simple, easy to remember and tells the story. We have a nail salon here called "Polish." Same thing if you don't pronounce it like the name of people from Poland.

In Atlanta we have new classic catering. Catchy Play on Words.
