I have a forum associate who always uses Whey Low D (for Diabetic and she is) and her advise is that if you are diabetic, buy one pound, use some, and test your blood sugar. She indicates that using Whey Low D in sweets and jams DOES NOT spice her blood sugar as regular sugars would have. She however urges everyone to try it and she how their body reacts to it (and check your sugar after eating). It apparently has no after taste so it cannot be detected by non-diabetics. I think she also said that when using it in baking, to reduce the oven temp. 25 degrees F. as it browns quicker than regular sugar. Hope that provides a little more info. Jim in So. Calif.

These were good! I got the recipe at Recipezaar. It's the orange zest that makes it a success! I baked in at 375 F for 22 minutes. Might work with cranberries too. Next time, I'm going to add a little orange extract. Just a bit to add a little more orange flavour.. cuz I really like it.LOL Raspberry Orange Muffins 1 cup milk 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 1/2 teaspoons orange zest (I used 2 tsp) 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 large eggs 2 cups flour 3/4 cup sugar 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 teaspoon salt (I used 1/2 tsp) 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries (or blueberries) Preheat oven to 400 F; line 12 muffin cups with paper liners. In small bowl, combine milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and orange zest. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large bowl; add milk mixture and stir just until blended; fold in raspberries (I added about 1 tablespoon of flour to the frozen berries so that they don't sink to bottom of muffin). Divide batter equally among prepared muffin cups. Bake until golden and tester comes out clean, about 15-20 minutes.

I have a rental on a low budget to turn, but I have taste. 70’s dark brown muck cabinets...budget said we had to salvage them. They had NC tags on them, thought ‘they’ll sand ‘nice’. They did but the bases were not oak and the faces are oak. I opt’d to do the vinegar and steel wool stain and go for the drift wood effect. I did a water poly test and what a nightmare! my beautiful gray weathered cabinets went right back to dark brown (on nice mission furniture nice. On these cabinets NOT) Read blogs and got to the wipe on heirloom satin coating by Vermont. SO AMAZING! So happy with the outcome! I have the driftwood look, clear I didn’t add gray stain and it brought out the different grains of the mosh of woods that ended up being these cabinets. Not the original end we envisioned, but the best because Vermont Coatings allowed an amazing finish. They look custom! I’ll post pictures when done. Anyone wanting to preserve that driftwood finish...this is it.

I used 'prairiemoon' as indicated in the link I posted and started from the GW main page. I assumed the 2 was a new addition to your name for here as it is on my username. The key to using the search is the drop down menu. What is on the list in the drop down menu is determined by the page you start on as that is what determines the servers you will access. For example - If you start on Houzz home page you get all the posts throughout Houzz no matter how relevant to your search term. If you start on Vegetable Gardening and choose Vegetable Gardening from the drop down list list you get all your posts on Vegetable gardening forum. If you start on the Garden Web home page (the list of all forums) you get all your posts from Garden Web. You can then narrow that down by date or topic or specific words using your browser's Find (CTRL+F) feature. Now this all assumes anyone would even have a reason for wanting to re-read something they posted years ago. So my question is why would you want to have access to everything you have ever posted on GW? You can with a bit of work but why? Is it possible some info got lost in the move? Sure. Just as when you get a new computer something always falls through the cracks when moving it all from the old to the new. Especially when also changing OS. But the loss is usually minimal. If it is topic oriented, search the specific topic. If it is forum oriented search the specific forum. If it is some specific statement you are after then search that specific statement. And use the additional search features your browser provides too rather than expecting ANY website to provide a perfect search engine. You can also use Google and even WayBack Machine if all else fails. But just ask anyone who has ever worked on a search engine - no perfect search engine exists because it is impossible to create. It will always be limited by the abilities of the of the user, not the search engine itself. :) Dave
