When I was down in Florida I was staying with my friend at a rented accommodation. She had just arrived herself and had not stocked the pantry yet. One night, when making a Caesar salad, I realized she had no Worcestershire sauce so I used some Pickappepa instead, it was really good! I also have used it in meatloaf. YUM! PS: I bought 5 bottles to bring home....dad to open the one for the Caesar and left it with my friend. She emailed later to tell me she is bring home 12 bottles! LOL

HP sauce is just like a tangy steak sauce, kind of like A1 but better. It is very common in England for having on meat and pies and here in Canada and restautant with a large British community seems to have it on their table. My fridge is never without a bottle. I love it on toasted cheese on bread. They now also have a fruity variety and a bold variety of the sauce but I havent tried either yet.

Shambo, I'm so glad you both enjoyed the peanut sauce. For some reason GW won't allow me to stay logged on & I have to relog for every post. So...I've not been posting much 'cause it's a PITA. :) I sure wish we could fix that sauce for dinner tonight. We are still in the recovery process with our house after Sandy and there won't be any cooking for several more weeks I'm guessing. This would NOT be my preferred method for redecorating! :) /tricia

I liked the fact that there are no herbs or spices to take away from the flavor of the fruits. I also think that she used a 6 qt. basket of tomatoes because it wasn't the usual red colour and you couldn't really taste the tomatoes. Enjoy!
