As a long time fan of the Steel city team - it's going to be the Steelers. They need another Super bowl ring.

The O.L. has been a problem but I'm not sure they are THE problem. I've said it before and I will say it again... Willie Parker is NOT the answer for the smash mouth style of football that the Steelers play because he has to rely on finese and speed rather than brute power and punishing his opponents. I'm also baffled at how BAD he has played on the road comparing to his play at Heinz Field.... A measly 45 yds/game on the road vs. 128 @ home!!! The first drive of that "game" was a perfect example of how this season has been going for this offense. After running the ball for almost no gain on first and second down, we are faced with 3rd and LONGGGGG where their defense clearly knows it's going to be a passing play and that's often a formula for disaster and/or failure. On the defensive side, it is pretty obvious that all our cornerbacks pretty much STINK. Townsend, McFadden, Taylor, Clark all have their moments but during the course of a 60 minute game, they all are pretty much stinky!!! LOL! I was hoping this glaring problem would be addressed during last off-season... obviously, it was not. One last rant... is it just me, or does our beloved coach seem a little out of it lately??? I just get the feeling that his heart is not into it anymore and next year we'll have our third coach in the last 3 decades. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Hi everyone, HOORAY!!!!! The STEELERS brought home one for the thumb! Thanks Semper! You are so wonderful to do this for all us ponders. It was great fun! And thank you for the win. I asked Semper to donate my winnings to The National Aviary right here in Pittsburgh, PA. It is a wonderful place that is close to my heart. Here is a pic of the Bald Eagles that reside there. Notice the one flapping only has one wing. Poor thing had been shot by some @#$&*!*....... And this is a picture of me the last time I was there..... Thanks for helping take care of the birds Semper. Here on the Illinois/Wisconsin border its bitter. Winds are really up and visibility is low. Of course we're in the middle of corn fields so everything just blows. Would not even want to be at the game in Chicago today. Those boys are going to have a hard time of it, I would imagine it's going to be a running game. Can you imagine trying to catch a frozen ball. But, we love it. We'll watch the packers in Detroit first. As a beer fan we're hoping for a loss there. Going to brave it and try to get to the buffalo farm which is just 10 minutes away. Been trying to capture them in the snow for handmade christmas cards. I think this is my opportunity. Have a fun day and stay warm.

I am going to stick my toes into this delicately. Perhaps what is confusing is the original post by OP which gave the reason for not liking the GE Profile to be that it was difficult to clean. There wasn't anything to indicate that a professional style range was wanted because there were limitations on what could be cooked on the GE Profile. That was why people recommended an induction which is provides a better cooking experience than a standard smooth top electric without having the issues that people heat in terms of food getting baked onto the surface. If for some reason your desire for a professional gas range is because what you cook requires a professional range with high BTU output. an OTR microwave/hood is not going to do it. Since you have indicated that money is no object the solution is to replace the OTR with a good dedicated hood and locate the microwave to another part of the kitchen. You can then raise the issue of where to best locate a microwave given whatever limitations there are in your current kitchen. When I remodeled I went from an OTR microwave with crappy electric glass top to a wall oven and microwave drawer with a top of the line induction cooktop. Since I have no abiity to have a gas appliance in my condo upgrading to induction was my only choice and after a bit of an adjustment and having to replace some of my favorite pots, I am fine with it. FWIW aside from some stuff like having a wok burner good cooks produce amazing food on even humble electric coil stoves - some professional NY chefs have standard NYC humble apartment kitchens and showcase what they cook in them.

That's a good one Folkvictorian - I'll put up the money I paid for the Chanel before I part with my bag! I'll never be able to duplicate that bargain.

The game did get a little close there but I never gave up.
My brother was at the game. I sure hope he dressed warm enough.

For those of you who wish to see the Super Bowl you can still get tickets from the Steelers web site. For only $2000 you can see the game, fly round trip and stay 3 nights. My brothers have already booked their trip - but then they have season tickets.

Maire Cate, you may be able to see the game but it will be on television, the packages that include game tickets are starting at nearly $4900 per person with airfare.

luann, I posted the price with tickets.

And sadly, having season tickets does not guarantee super bowl tickets unless something has really changed drastically since Tampa. There is a lottery, some win the opportunity to buy tickets, some do not. Most who win buy them and sell them to vendors. I have been following and booking Steeler Super Bowl packages since I first started in the travel business in 1977, I cannot believe how expensive they have become.

Oh My - well I guess that means I won't be taking 100 of my nearest and dearest friends to the game. Now here I thought I could be another Oprah and treat everyone to a fabulous trip.

I know it's a lottery. My brothers have gone before. But it probably helps that their last name is - ah - rather well known in Pittsburgh. I left Pgh, married and now I'm anonymous.
