I finally found jeans I love!

Finally! My DD told me about them. As we have the same body type, she thought they would be great for me.

Skeptical, I went to try them on for her. They are wonderful and fit my body type perfectly. They are made by Sheryl Crow under the label 'Boothill Trading Company'. They feel like athletic pants, very giving, yet hold their shape better than any stretch jeans I've had. They are called 'Flex' and are so comfortable and slimming that I bought 2 pair in different styles.

If you find them, definitely try a pair on. I have a butt and hips. Most jeans flatten out my behind and gap big time at the waist if they fit my hips. Not these! I paid $50. a pair but worth every penny.

I've not seen or heard of them, but will be on the lookout. $50 is less than alot of brands. Cool beans!

I've rarely found a salvia that didn't do well for me. Currently I have May Night which has been there for at least 10 years, Rose Queen (mine not only did not die out, I really should thin it out a bit - it's a little too happy), and Eveline. I also have a gorgeous cross between Eveline and May Night - it's much bluer than May Night and has larger flowers like Eveline. I normally also plant some annual salvias - Black and Blue, Lady in Red and whatever else strikes my fancy. I can't think of any other plant that comes in so many colors and has such a long season of bloom. It's not unusual for me to get three flushes from May Night.

Yeah I know you're not supposed to export them, well I didn't know when I purchased that first Key Lime. It's funny though, with the latest trip down there I flew and I was nervous about bringing it back on the plane. The lady at the stand said it wouldn't be a problem and I even went as far as call the airline and the airport and both said that it didn't matter that it was a citrus.

I agree, it depends. In our current town, they target assessments at 1/3 the market value. Our last house, in a city 100 miles away, was assessed at $308K when we bought it for $350K. 2 years later the assessed value was up to $350K. We updated the entire thing, including adding on 500 sf of living space and 600 sf of deck, and the assessment only drifted up to $355K by the time we put it on the market 5 years after purchase (even though the additions were permitted and inspected, they were not used to change the assessment). We sold it for $490K 18 months ago, but the assessment has only gone up $10K. Since assessments and taxes lag, I'll have to see what happens with next year's taxes. But so far, no adjustment for the sales price.

Jinx seeing the chairs alongside the room really helps...and interestingly, although almost everyone has said black would work no one has gone that route in suggestions, which helps too in a way. I have enough of the raw silk on those chairs by the mirror left to do these chairs, and it has a beautiful sheen that can throw off a bit of purple - but I am concerned about durability (see above) and being too matchy-matchy. I am surprised I also really do like the lighter white look when I see it next to the room, and totally forgot but am finally getting real grown up white silk drapes that will frame out those windows properly instead of sitting inside them - so maybe it would be better to coordinate with those? The fabric is a very subtle cream silk tone-on-tone stripe, but I could match the color with a more durable fabric. This is so much help- thank you all again for your time and suggestions here! I do have one more random question, only because you guys are familiar with the space. I have an old, wooden phone booth that belonged to my dad (he worked for Bell South for 30 years). It it VERY sentimental, it has traveled all over the country with me, and it is going in this space somewhere. It only fits in two places. I had intended to put it where that mermaid picture is, but then I bought that crazy huge carved Mexican bookcase. Is it going to make the room too heavy on that side to have two big, blocky pieces of furniture there? The only other place I have for it is in the entry, which means it would be the first thing you saw when you walked in the room.

Where did you find them? Would love to a pair of flattering jeans. Hard for those who've got "junk in the trunk."

Thanks for the tip! Good jeans are so hard to find.

It looks like the closest store to me is Dillards and they're $68.00. Problem is Dillards is at the mall - not sure I can handle a trip to the mall this time of year!

I should have mentioned that my jeans were on sale at a small clothing store downtown. I actually paid $54.40. They were 20% off of $68.00. I think I'd be willing to pay full price. I bought the 'Nashville' and the 'Kennett' style. They are heaven!

I am ALWAYS on the lookout for good jeans that fit, so thanks for the heads-up, Golddust! I'm 5'6 1/2" tall and am slim through my hips, butt and legs. I like the slim-cut jeans but so many of them come with a low cut waist, which doesn't feel or fit well on me anymore. I'm going to look for these Bootheel jeans next week . . . after the Thanksgiving/Black Friday stampede is over ;^D

Flyleft - what a great find!! At this price I can brave the mall to see if they work for me. I can buy a lot online but just can't figure out clothing without trying it on first.

Oh, and thanks for reminding me of Sierra Trading Post. Guess where I'll cruising be for the next hour??

I did check but I don't think they are made of the Flex fabric (ooh, so comfie). Fly, let me know! I was tempted by Sierra Trading Post too! Bootheel makes regular jeans too.

Hmm...maybe the cords I ordered are made of that fabric?

And how do you feel about the pockets? Do you feel the --ugh, blanking on the word, but the things that close the pockets--when you sit down? I don't like calling attention to my derriere that much...would be keepers if they fit well, though...

Trivia note on the name of the jeans - Cheryl was born in the Bootheel of Missouri in the small town of Kennett.
