I recently purchased a small Asko set as a 2nd set. My other set is a 4' LG. For the past few weeks I have been doing all of our laundry, family of 5, in the Asko. The bulkiest item I wash is my 1500 thread count sheets and the Asko is fine with the full set. I looked at the Miele set and went with the Askos because of price differences and an extra 2 years on the warranty but they were very comparable I thought. There are some UK sites that go into detailed wash capacity ratings. My advice would be to weigh your laundry to get an idea of how much clothing the weight limit on the Mieles translated to.

Thanks - There appears to be options to side vent. I'm worried that 7" on the side is not enough as the dryer my parents have sticks out 9" when you take into account how much the pipe protrudes from the side, and the width of the elbow. Going out the back worries me because according to the calculations, I only have 4.25" of space. The install guide says i need at least 5". I guess a periscope would work, but i read that its a less than ideal solution as it can restrict air flow I really dont want to buy these machines and then realize they dont fit. I guess in the worse situation, i can cut out some of the drywall to make room for the pipes. It would get hidden anyways

On your first question dryer side vent. If you don't use the kit will it void your warranty? Also, you would want to make sure it doesn't create a fire hazard if you just use an elbow. On your second question. Is it up to code to run a dryer vent through the wall as described? If you do have a fire, you may run into issues with your homeowners insurance and the local authorities. As far as angles, again you have to go with the specs on the dryer. Too many and it won't work correctly and it becomes a fire hazard because it will become clogged with lint. Plus if you do have issue and it quits the manufacturer may not honor your warranty. On your second issue. You would need to go and actually look at the periscope. You could possibly use tin snips and clip each section down where they go together. You would have to factor in at least an inch overlap within the periscope. And you would want your cuts assembled so that the air passes smoothly over the joint. So basically all joints run in one direction. You don't want them collecting lint. So not much help, just be aware that sometimes saving a few dollars can end up costing much more in the long run. Keep your family safe and look at all potential fire hazards. Dryers are one of the leading causes of house fires.

You pull the dryer out and brush the vent out. And you open the dryer rear and clean it too. Then you brush out the vent to the exterior. Then, after brushing it all, you hook up your vacuum and vacuum it all. Then you reverse the hose on the vacuum and blow air through it all. This should be done 2x per year. Spring and fall at Daylight Savings change is a good reminder. Along with changing the batteries on your smoke detectors, and exercising all of your home’s water and gas shut off valves.
