Could you please vote for my blog?

A local blog which links to other local blogs and picks "blogs of the week" is having it's first ever Newfoundland blog awards. My blog, Bitstop.ca is in the running and I'd love to get your vote. I asked the site admin about campaigning and he strongly encourages campaigning for votes so here I am! Here is the link, the poll is on the right hand side. My blog is #2, Bitstop. You don't need to register or anything, just click on the blog and then click on vote at the bottom of the poll.

You can also leave a comment on the post (click on the grey area just under "Vote Now"). If you leave a comment saying you are voting for Bitstop that will get counted as 2 votes whereas the poll vote counts as 1 vote. It's to encourage comments on why you are voting for a particular blog. But you don't have to do that, just clicking in the poll would be enough.

Susan, you have to pay for some of the apps? I am really surprised. The whole point of Firefox is that it is "open source." It's a cooperative thing. Many developers work together. I don't use anything but Ad Block Plus, and then some of the "skins"...not sure what they call it (personas?), but you can change the display themes. I have a lady bug theme up right now. I know they have butterfly themes too. :) Lisa

thanks so much for the input! athomeinva, you're right in that wood look tile is not the typical flooring material in an MCM. But we looked at terrazzo and larger format tile and none of those options really grabbed us. We like the look of plank wood flooring. There are some wood-look tiles out there that provide the exact look we are going for. I think it's a great combination of form, function and aesthetics and allows us to live an indoor/outdoor lifestyle with dogs, kids with wet feet from the pool and beach and lots of entertaining without worrying about our hardwoods getting ruined. StellaMarie, Pip lived on hardwoods at our house which he constantly skated on, but he is currently staying at a family member's house while we have ours on the market. Our family has large format tile and Pip seems to do better on tile and doesn't slip as much. aktillery, I'm with you -- non dog people -- don't understand them! kitchentime, i like that reclaimed wood a lot! we considered reclaimed it was too rustic for my husband's taste. I found a lovely blonde wood look wide plank that I think is the winner. I'm out tomorrow searching for samples and will post some pics when I have them. I'll post some photos of the beautiful showrooms at Porcelanosa and Eleganza on Tile Mile. Those places had some seriously cool stuff. In the meantime, the old black flooring came up today. Progress is good!

I voted too, but leaving a comment just got too involved. Really do like your photos, but didn't want daily reminder. I don't do facebook, twitter, and try to stay away from anything Google. Sorry

About "Found my childhood on EBay" we had one of those beauties (retractable light) in the DR when we bought this house in '75. It's long gone.

Minnietx, took me a minute also, Click on the link and then look way over on the right and you will see a list of the contenders. Each has a small circle beside their name. Check that circle (Bitstop) then scroll down until you see VOTE and VIEW. Click on VOTE, and VIEW also if you want to.

This may be different with different browsers.

Thanks again everyone!! Because of everyone here who has voted my blog is in the lead. But I think the next blog may have more comments than me, and comments count as 2 votes. But it also looks like you can vote every day so I am hoping for a few more votes to push me way ahead of the other blog's total. I'm thrilled!
