Sounds like a great concept with serious water conservation. It is the reliability and aftermarket service that would concern me, although our purchase last year of a new LG refrigerator has panned out well. Best of luck with your new machine.

Electrolux can also reverse the door swing on the washing machine. You will find that most dryers can reverse their door swing, but only the Miele, Asko, and the Electrolux can give you want you want in a washing machine. That said, you may find it is not really a big deal. I too thought I needed a reversed door swing, but I have been living with my old machines in the setup you mentioned for a month now. I put a standard laundry basket on the floor below the door of the washing machine and pull out the wash into it. I then close the door and slide the basket over to load the dryer. This is really no problem at all. I may still go with the Electrolux as it has lots of things I like, but the reversible door is no longer an issue for me.

I wish you many happy loads of laundry going forward! FYI, I usually have to order powder Cheer and Tide with Bleach from Target or Walmart as my local merchants don't have it most of the time. I can get powder Tide (regular) from Costco when they are not out of stock and sometimes it's on a $6 coupon, which is nice. There was no powder Tide at my Costco for a couple months within the last year and I kinda hit the panic button there. haha

LG WM3770 and DLEX3700 dryer here, which is only available in the metallic dark gray color (very snappy looking), and I have zero issue reading the dials. They are well back-lit and clear, and I don't even have the pedestals (and my laundry room is not terribly well lit). Truly excellent machine. With Turbowash the cycles are not much worse time-wise than my old F&P top loader, although they can get lengthy if you turn all the options to max (which heats the water to almost 160F, runs four rinses, etc.) I think if the washer had a drum light I'd rate the machine "perfect," as that's about all I am wanting for on it. (The dryer does have a drum light).
