What is 'juice of one lemon' in tablespoons?
Comments (7)The lemons on my tree are not ripe right now, and so I had to pay 89¢ each for lemons at the market, which I hate doing. Anyway, I squeezed one lemon and got 1/4 cup of juice, or 4 tbsp. Normally, from one of my lemons I get from 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup of juice per lemon. It's extremely inaccurate to call for lemon juice by per lemon, since there is great variance from one lemon to another. I'm surprised anyone uses lemons that only have two tablespoons, however. I do feel lucky that I got 1/4 cup of juice from a grocery store lemon, but it had a lot less flavor than my own lemons, and I had to add the juice of another half lemon to make my hummus come out right. Comments (2)What happened? Which model do you have? I don't think you *have* to register in order for the warranty to be valid.... I'd just contact Miele and ask them to send a replacement....See MoreIs this right? 2 tablespoons of salt for 1 pound of pasta?
Comments (17)When our church fed the 1000 bike riders, we got a truck load of pasta donated by Barilla. Their instructions were to not put oil in the water, salt to taste ( whatever that means) and don't rinse the pasta because you want the starch on it to make the sauce stick. What they didn't take into account was we were cooking huge vats of pasta that stayed hot on the inside a long time and putting on a simple oil and balsamic dressing which would have stuck better if the pasta had been rinsed. How heavily I salt my pasta water depends on the sauce I am using. I find that pesto often tastes lacking in salt to me....so I salt more. Comments (23)I was pleasantly surprised by Arm & Hammer Plus Oxi Clean (Fresh Scent) on whites and I LOVE the scent (reminds me of the scent of laundry when I was a kid, classic clean laundry smell). I have not used it on colors so I don't know how gentle it is on colors. I would also suggest Cheer. I really can't pick ONLY ONE since my family here has taught me a few things on white detergents and color safe(er) detergents....See Moresshrivastava
