Eagle cam in Norfolk,Va

It is up and should be ready any day now. It is the best cam I have ever seen. The eagles are building a new nest. You can click on pictures on the right side of this page.

How kewl! We just had a baby born locally. The news last night said it would be several weeks before we'd be able to see him/her above the top of the nest.

Mary Lu, I love when they set up cameras like this. The Norfolk Botanical Garden has nesting eagles and we got to check them out on the live cam while we were there a year ago. It was so amazing to watch them. This is so timely as I happened to see a bald eagle perched so stately in a tree on my way home from work today.

Their feet are huge! They are growing up quickly. Yesterday morning I checked to see what was happening and the three eaglets were alone in the nest and then Mama came swooping in with a talon full of straw. The wingspan on the two larger eaglets are also getting large. It's amazing. Dax

I really miss the cams from Norfolk. I used to watch the one from the Cascades until it became too sad to see them lose their chicks so often. I see Buddy is still doing well as the official greeter at Norfolk.

I followed the triplets all last seson too. I'm really looking forward to doing it again.....thanks for the heads up.....(also waiting for the Osprey to return to Barbee Mill in Washington state)......
