Please let us know when you think there are eggs. I don't want to miss a thing.

Not sure which of the few recent ones Ron's referring to, but the one at the following link has 2 babies already hatched (on or around 1/9, iirc) and are SOOOO cute! You can only occasionally see a head and beak pop up, but they are precious! (and of course, only in the daylight, lol!) I've watched the parents feed them a few times over the last few days.

This particular site is from the city I live in, they put construction on hold for quite a while, iirc, so as not to disturb the parents.

I'd love to know which of the other sites has eggs ready to hatch, how exciting!

Lazydaisy. the nest on the NU site is located to the best of my knowledge in British Columbia Canada. This nest is on private property and this pair has been nesting in this spot for a few years now. The owner of the property had to get permission to install the cameras because eagles are so protected they did not want to intefere with the mating/nesting/hatching/raising process of the eagles. The owner of the property had started this out on his own and had gotten such a large demande from the public to be able to view the eagles that he asked for assistance and Nothern Utilities stepped in to help out. The feed is live 24/7 and this nest has 3 eaglettes. I was only seeing one, but this morning I say the other one and he/she is much smaller than his/her brother or sister. I am happy to see that both has made it this far. Louise

We sometimes go to this one area fishing/boating and it is amazing watching the bald eagles catch fish. They are majestic birds and it's amazing to watch how graceful they soar over the water and around the hillside. Love using the binoculars to watch their antics.

I've been watching another pair high in the cascades in Oregon. The nest is open to the elements, and they were lying in the snow. I was certain one was dead, when the mate flew in to take over and she flew off. Now they were both there and eating. It was so terrible when it was snowing and they were getting buffeted by the wind and the heavy wet snow.

Here is the URL for the Norfolk, VA site.

We will all have to be on the lookout for the progress reports. The cam is operating in the evenings now according to the info on the site.
