Happy Mother's Day everyone! Hope all the moms out there will be treated well.

We're going over to my parents am I'm providing food. This Lobster, Scallops, and Mussels with Tomato Garlic Vinaigrette seems fitting for a nice warm day and keeps me from having to cook there at all. I made this once before and loved it.

We have a few family members descending on us today - I told DH I am NOT cooking LOL. We went out last night shopping after dinner and he'll be doing two chickens on the big green egg along with some sides. I'll throw something into the bread maker for fresh bread.

DH wants to make a Chiffon Cake, via a recent recipe from our newspaper food section. I told him to knock himself out.

I'm going to Amanda's, David is going to put some ribs on the grill. I think my mother is going to go out there too, and for dessert, we have cupcakes left over from Ashley's shower yesterday.

I got two dozen roses from Chris and Sorah, Ashley says she's coming over tonight when I get back home. I'll bet she wants leftovers, LOL...

Up at the cottage , just the two of us. Both kids have called and that's good enough for me....mind you I'm not cooking! If we can pull it together from leftovers or POOF's then it will be grilled hot dogs....'cause himself has that mastered! LOL

Happy Mothers Day Mom, I miss you....maybe in my Mom's honour I will make Jasip's Mom's butter tarts they are the closest I've ever had to my Moms'......yup that's what I'm going to do!

So far it's been a good Mother's Day and I've done what I like to do, which is spread fertilizer on the grass, weed and trim the edges. The weather has been perfect. If I got a Mother'Day wish that would come true, it would be for weather like this more often!

My younger son got me a very nice MP3 player. It's a Sony. I wish I'd had for the flight to and from Paris in March. Now I will use it at the gym and when I take walks or cut the grass. He showed me how to download podcasts. This was going to be my birthday present, so I will probably get flowers for my birhtday. That works for me.

The older son called on the phone which is more than he usually does. He covered his butt by saying he would get me something extra nice for my birthday. We'll see.

Tonight I'm having dinner with my mom, which I do most Sundays. She is making lobster tails. I have two hanging baskets of red New Guinea Impatiens and some geraniums for her.

Hope all you Moms and those who do mom-like things have a wonderful Mother's Day.

I spent the day with my family down at my oldest daughters house. Her first mother's day.

Her husband cooked for us all - he grilled bbq chicken, made some macaroni salad, baked beans and a wonderful salad with greens, craisins, candied walnuts, sliced apples and Gorgonzola cheese. Then we had a pineapple upside down cake and there were also brownies. What diet???????
