Incidents/Injuries: American Biophysics has received 11 reports of persons struck by broken adapters and three reports of minor skin irritations caused by the CO2 gas. Description: The recall involves a maintenance accessory used to clear obstructions in the fuel delivery system of certain Mosquito Magnet® insect traps. The Quick-Clear Valve Adapter is a black and gold, "L"-shaped, brass and plastic device. The adapter was included as a maintenance accessory to clean fuel lines in newly manufactured and retrofitted Mosquito Magnet® insect traps sold only under the following Mosquito Magnet® model names: Defender, Liberty, Freedom and Commercial Pro. Only "L"-shaped adapters are affected by this recall. Mosquito Magnet® products made since November 2003 contain only straight adapters that do not need to be replaced. Adapters for Mosquito Magnet® traps that use rechargeable batteries are not affected by this recall. Sold at: Home centers, hardware stores, and industrial suppliers nationwide, as well as online and catalog retailers, provided the "L"-shaped Quick-Clear Valve Adapter as an accessory with Mosquito Magnet® insect trap products manufactured from October 2002 through November 2003. I find spice blends helpful in cooking low sodium foods for my husband. I like Tony Cachere's Salt Free blend and Penzey's Mural of Flavor along with its Adobo, the Singapore, and the Jerk. I also like Chef Paul Prudhomme's Magic Salt Free Seasoning. My favorite Chili powder blend is Grandma's, but it's becoming harder & harder for me to find. And I'm another who likes Sun curry powder. I found my favorite and most used blends quite by accident and in an unexpected store. I discovered several really good salt-free blends at Cost Plus World Market. I've been using their Chicago Chop & Steak blend for grilled meats. The Thai Spice blend is great sprinkled on Asian inspired dishes. I've used the Greek Mediterranean blend on roasted asparagus and chicken. I like it a lot better than Cavender's Salt Free Greek seasoning or Penzey's Salt Free Lamb seasoning. I've used the Garlic Pepper blend on all kinds of things, including last week's rib roast. The Cal Mex & the Fajitas blends are great for Mexican inspired dishes. The Jerk Chicken & Fish blend is tasty too. And the Key Lime blend has a spicy & tangy citrus kick to it. To tell the truth, I wasn't expecting much, but I'm really impressed with the flavors.

Nice work, Shawn!!! This thread does a great job of showing what's needed for success in grafting sans greenhouse. Your results are looking great, much better than what I did my first attempt at grafting. A couple thoughts: I like your broom quite a bit. Did you mention that it get's the 'comet' part of its name from the shape of the broom and overall appearance in the sky, as we can see from your picture? It will be interesting too see if the daughter plants assume this low, spreading form. That, and the good green color we can see in your graft, make for a nice (and unique) strobus broom. Regarding your need to spray...yes, it's sometimes necessary but also I'll suggest that it is possible for there to be too much moisture in the chamber. Overall, there should never be condensation on the plants themselves. Condensation on the walls of the chamber indicates that you've done a good job getting the RH up, but if there's too much (droplets falling down the side a lot) you may want to cut back. Many years I've no need to spray at all. You're right, brand new grafting knives are not sufficiently sharp! If you don't mind ~20 min of boring work, it's easy to sharpen yourself using a whetstone such as this one at Amazon. The advantage to doing it yourself is that if your doing a lot of grafting, you can resharpen it multiple times throughout the grafting season. I sharpen the blade before every grafting session. In the Fincham grafting video he goes over how to do it, and I'm sure lots of other places too. We can talk about it offline sometime if you like, the important thing is to only use water, never oil, when sharpening your blade. I'll try and get some pictures of my 'Mason's Comet' grafts to post here some time this weekend.

Fraker -- Hope you're still on this site from time to time. We're in the process of possibly buying a home in N NV that has an installed Four Seasons sunroom -- a big one -- about 1300 sq ft. It's 10 yrs old and the local installer folded 7 years ago. The structure appears to be in good shape but I'm no expert & the seller (owner) notes they had to make three "cosmetic" repairs where there were leaks (where the sunroom structure attaches to the house) last month prior to listing it for sale. I cannot see where they leaked or where the repairs were made. It appears professionally done. Does your unit look anything like this one? You can see the owners installed 2 extra heaters and good quality sunshades on all the horizontal windows. Thanks! MG
