I saw that Kara showed for Fashion Week. I was surprised. And I did think she had the best collection out of them all. She probably did better because some of the pressure was off. Did they do that last season with the 4th finalist? I liked Diana the moment she said she read more science magazines than fashion. Too bad she couldn't pull it off any of her designs. I liked Santino, and I was really annoyed when they said that he wasn't flamboyant enough in his final collection-- after they spent the whole show beating him down. His take on Tim...OMG...that was hilarious. He does him well. Did you read any of that crazy Manolo site? You know, I expected Zulema to make it to the Final Four, but she really fizzled out quick. The "Walk Off" was really EVIL of her! I thought they lost one of the best models as a result of that. Evil Zulema. She doesn't NEED an alter-ego. She is her own evil twin...lol. (her bio says she is, or was a model...as a Jamaican-American, may I say, she needed to do something with her hair??? Braid it up, pull it back...anything!!-- hope I'm not being too rude. :-)

Hi Kids, It was a good show last night and, as always, I agree with a lot of what you all have said here. I was glad Ricki won but, right now, sitting here at my computer, I can't remember anything about his dress...it was a dress, right? I think it was strapless and very fitted? I'll have to check out Project RunGay later to see some close up photos of it. I really like Sweet Ps dress a lot. She did a great job with the piecing and her seams. I liked the light and dark denims together. I thought she did a great job. And...Rami did NOT drape...holy crap! I thought he did a good job, it looked well made and finished. Was his the dress that Heidi said had some threads hanging from it? I thought he did a good job. I liked also liked the dress Chris made. I have liked a lot of his stuff. He knows what he is doing. Christian was Christian last night. I did not like his outfit at all. But then again...I'm old. I thought the pants looked strange, like the model was walking on her hands...and skinny, skinny, skinny... And Jillian and Victorya...both making coats...bad moves. After last weeks challenge they both looked like they were trying to capture the same effect. Jillians was the better of the two but, that's not saying much. In the end, Victorya was the one who was out. I agreed with the judges and, I was happy to see her go. Kathy G...you must get some kind of award...thinking ahead, hatching a plan and going to GoodWill for a TV! You Da Girl! So, now we are down to...6 designers? Who will go to the final? It's not easy to pick a winner. What do you think? sooey

I know they sew them themselves. I live here in NYC and have looked up the curriculum at both Parsons and F.I.T. and the design degree includes classes in tailoring, patternmaking, fitting, sketching, the whole works. I'd kill to take those sewing and patternmaking classes, but no, you have to submit drawings of your ideas to get in, sign up for the degree, and pay the freight for the entire thing, which is way out of reach. There are boutiques here where the owner makes all the clothes that are for sale in the store because they don't have the money to hire someone else to do the sewing, so when you watch Project Runway, believe what you see!

I have to agree with fun2behere, the house is stunning, but the grounds are magnificent. It would be fun just to spend a weekend.
