I am so excited! I just qualified today to win $10,000 worth of furniture through a radio station. One qualifer every day from Sept 27 to end of October, winner to be drawn from those qualifiers, so the odds are great! We are in the midst of finishing off our downstairs, so timing wise is awesome. Wish me luck!!!

Well it's 8:00pm and my replacements haven't arrived. I called and the truck that was suppose to contain my replacements hadn't arrived. Have to wait until tomorrow to find out when they will arrive. You know, I'm not even upset anymore, I'm so beaten up over this whole process that when they get here, they get here. I'm using my kitchen with a few minor inconviences like some pulls missing on the replacements and some missing crown moulding. I guess in the scope of things it's not that big a deal. Lukki... I haven't been posting much but I've been lurking. How's your kitchen coming along? Paigeysmom posted the other day, she's winding down too.

Aren't you clever, though! I sure do admire those who can fix household problems. Now would you come fix my refrigerator? The repairman has been here a couple of times and came well-recommended, but we still don't have cold air. By the time we replace this and that, we'll have paid almost as much as we would have for a new one. I just hate that they make appliances to fail early. Such a waste in our throw-away society but they've got us over a barrel. The $100 part that includes a small motor to move the damper is ALL PLASTIC! This is a G.E., but I think all the (American) brands are about the same.

Thanks all! There will be plenty of food in the vehicle as I am bringing food for a potluck, extra desserts and I also bought some food at Costco that my sister wanted. The forecast says this storm will be over tomorrow and we'll take it slow, there's no rush.

Thank you so much everyone! I am married to Mr. Negativity, he is already saying I wont win. I have never won anything so I would really love to prove him wrong on this one. If I do, I am picking every piece of furniture myself, he wont have any say just for that....LOL....
