Cross your fingers for me!!!

Tomorrow Joe and I are driving across the province to spend Christmas with my sisters. It is a 6 hour drive along the highway. And if you know anything about Newfoundland, it could be sunny and beautiful for part of the drive and a raging blizzard for another part.

Today we're having a blizzard.....snow and high winds although it's suppose to turn to rain later on today. Just keep your fingers crossed that tomorrow it's not stormy! My sisters and I have not been together for Christmas in about 9 years so I really want to make it out there.

My BIL and family are supposed to drive to the west coast today. I hope they have the good sense to wait until tomorrow. It looks nasty out there now but the forecast for tomorrow is much better. I have my fingers and toes crossed. Merry Christmas, Karen, and enjoy your time with your family. Drive carefully!!

Ruthie, I wish we were neighbors...those weeds would not stand a chance. I take direction real well and all you'd need was a chair in the shade and a bullhorn! :)) You'll be in my prayers and thoughts...good thoughts of not only tolerating the chemo well, but SAILING through it. thanks,,we'll know in a few days if he's still in remission. this house was to be our forever home,,but now we can't finish it,let alone pay it off,,so we'll sell and move to a more modest farm. we're just praying that we get enough out of it to start over and go forward in good health into retirement. thanks for your good wishes!

Have a safe trip Karen. Down East is supposed to get the snowstorm today that we had and it really isn't very nice. Pack for emergencies to keep warm and put some extra food and drink in the car just in case.

Keeping my fingers crossed for your safe travel. Like Heather said, pack an emergency kit/box, and take an extra quilt, or sleeping bag in case. Enjoy your Christmas with your sister.

Thanks all! There will be plenty of food in the vehicle as I am bringing food for a potluck, extra desserts and I also bought some food at Costco that my sister wanted. The forecast says this storm will be over tomorrow and we'll take it slow, there's no rush.

My BIL and family delayed their trip until tomorrow. So if you see a beige Honda Odyssey being driven by a big man with a beard (no, not THAT big man with a beard!) give a wave and a honk!! Have a safe journey!
