3. A new 5th wheel (paid for of course)

1. Play the banjo well (I'm learning and trying)
2. Learn Italian well enough to be fluent
3. Take a week of cooking classes at the Culinary Institute in Napa

1 - To see my 3 kids set for a life of health, happiness and prosperity.

2 - Same for future grandkids if I'm around long enough to see any.

3 - To retire with enough money to have a turkey at thanksgiving. If you retire and have to eat oatmeal every day, you might as well keep working.

4 - Good health & happiness for myself & my wife.

5 - To avoid the bucket itself for as long as # 4 applies.

I want to go plane gliding. I've always loved the thoughts of just drifting in the air.

Five years ago, I ticked off one of the first things on my Bucket list. I had always had second hand cars and wanted a brand new one.

1. Telling my brother and sisters to lighten up and enjoy life, stop looking down on people that has less than they are and that "the world does not revolve around them"! Don't know if that would do any good. Maybe, they'd take my words a bit more seriously if I'm on my dying bed.

2) Going back to places that I grew up, Milano, Italy and Vietnam. I haven't been there for over 30 yrs.!

take a ride in a hot air balloon...preferably over where I grew up in Indiana
have about 10 acres in the middle of nowhere so I can have a bunch of collie doggies
happy healthy kids and grandkids who love spending time with Grandma...(but not anytime soon...please...)
take a motorhome thru the west with DH and the doggies
live long enough to be a pain to my kids..LOL

I am not even going to mention my kids, they can make their own lists.

1. Learn to speak Spanish fluently
2. Go back to school for a Masters degree and someday a PhD
3. Kiss DH on or 50th wedding anniversary (34 1/2 years to go)

Thanks Gayle. I hope so too. I heard of people saying that although the place they grew up has not changed, things look different or smaller. I'm curious.

Yes, growing up in different countries is interesting, especially when it comes to learn the languages. My toungue is trained at young age and that helped for me to learn English quickly. I was told that I speak English well and have little accent.

During the 5 yrs that I lived in Italy, I completely forgot my native language. When I went back to Vietnam, I had to learn it all over again. 5 yrs. after, we all had to run to the US for refuge. Then, once again, I had to learn another language. I still speak Vietnamese in the family but completely forgotten Italian.

Love traveling but due to the physical health deteororation from my disability, I no longer able to do it so easily. Can't complain much about it though, I am still moving around pretty good. That's such a blessing still =o)

The only thing I want for myself is to stay home and work on my house and fix up the place...yard, build a barn, etc.

I don't care if I never travel ever again. Some places would be nice to see, but it is such a hassle, I don't enjoy myself when I have to be gone for more than a day or so.

I'd like for my daughter to find a job she really enjoys where she can use her education.

My husband is getting ready to start a new job where he will be gone 3 weeks at a time. The money will be good, but I don't know how I will fare being by myself for so long. I love solitude, but that is a bit much, even for me.

Now my Bucket list is for small attainable things.

Before this Winter is over I hope to go through the several boxes of old photos and snapshots, sort, and put names on them.

I just have to get started!

Marilyn, I am right there with you. I have no burning desire to travel or to see the world.

From 2002 to 2005, I traveled all over the country doing book signings and that itch to travel has been fully scratched. These days, I'd *much* rather stay home and watch the birds at the feeder or sit by the seashore. Everything I want is right here in Virginia.

I saw this thread yesterday and have spent 24 hours thinking about this question. I only have ONE thing for this "bucket list." My big dream right now is to buy a second home - a small farm in the country - and have a couple horses and chickens and a spacious barn and a well-pump with a big handle and build a koi pond.

That's my big dream and something that has been in my heart for 48 years now.
