Kenmore is not a real brand - Kenmore is a rebranding of appliances made by other manufacturers (e.g. Whirlpool, Samsung, LG) sometimes with a few extra features. One big drawback to Kenmore appliances is that you're stuck with Sears warranty service which is provided by A&E which has a terrible reputation. If there's a particular Kenmore appliance you're interested in, you should find out who the actual manufacturer is and then buy the appliance from them.

There is more to this lady's lamenting than not wanting to change her grand's diaper. The child is not being taught many things and is no fun to be around. Enough of this sentimental stuff. This lady is being handed a big guilt trip. I'll bet she stopped reading these posts. As for the lady in the church thingy. I know her kind. I'll bet lots of us do. She's a wonderful person and judgemental too. She needs help in the nursery--but no one wants to be in there. Those are the sweet, sweet, wonderful church ladies. Gag me. Give me a break with all those wonderful stay-at-home mom's and all of their saintly accomplishments. Right! I'll take a lady with dishes in the sink, and a 'to-do' list that hangs around forever, has fruit gnats hanging out in her kitchen, a sprinkler hose flooding the whole back yard, not a cute outfit to her name, and the little ones telling her, 'granma, if you were my age you would be my best friend' and 'can I have some more pancakes?' This lady needs to resolve how she is going to adapt herself to the fact that her children don't think like she thinks.

dMary----------------Great news and am happy for you!! WE got the HE5t washer and dryer set last Sept. It is not the steam one(from what I read on here that is not worth the extra money). We use our set daily and have had no problems. Our local store owner(Sears) has five kids and he has had no problems with his HE5t set. Remember you do have time left on your protection agreement, so make sure you switch it. The Whirlpool set just does not have as many features as the sears set(but made by the same people). Go to the store and compare.............and again--really happy for you!!!!!!!!!! dennis

As a thoughtful, skeptical, researching kind of person I understand the suspicions of some posters. But I hope the focus will stay on the problem. I would be happy to post the store name where I bought the washer/dryer and the contact info for the incredibly helpful salesman who has watched in disbelief as this unfolded. He has told Miele the store may pull their Miele products if this isn't resolved. I did do my own thorough research before purchasing these new large Mieles, and it is easy to read these Gardenweb threads without participating via written response. This thread was even noted by the international consumersearch.com as an especially avid group of laundry product users. Google makes very local conversation potentially global. I went into the Miele showroom with the thread about the vastly noisy dryer printed out in my hand. This was even the impetus for the 90 day buy back guarantee, I think. Miele does listen to what happens here. I signed up the day I posted because I am not an online thread conversation kind of person. I think this is only the second time I have ever been in a kind of chat room forum. The other time was for a medical treatment. It just isn't my thing. But I am at a loss as to how to get some resolution. This is a democratic way for the little person to fight back when corporations act like a Kafka novel. It is always easier to believe something is amiss with the report, until it happens to you. My goal here is to resolve the problem. How can I most effectively make that happen?
