$200,000 for me too! Unless there was $1,000,000 and $750,000 still left on the board and all the small numbers were gone.

I would never keep playing if there was only 1 big number left on the board.

Me, too. I've always said once the offer hit $200,000 I'd take it.

It would really depend upon how the board was going--what the odds were of actually getting a large amount at the end. The fact is, you cannot win one large amount, without knocking out the REST of the big #'s, so that's something to consider.

As long as there were more large #'s on the board, than I had to open cases in my next round, I'd keep going.

But what would I be happy with? I look at the contestants who are so disappointed with amounts like $75,000, 90,000 or even more sometimes, and I always recall how absolutely out of my mind I was with delight the day I got a phone call telling me I'd won $25,000. I could be extremely happy on DOND with anything in the 6 figures, but I'd still be quite content with ANY amount I brought home--were I lucky enough to ever actually get to compete on the show.

And whether it was $10, or $10,000, 100,000 or the million, whatever was left after taxes would go right into the bank--which is what I do with all my contest winnings.

I'm not sure if I do have an amount in mind, but I know there'd have to be more than ONE big dollar amount remaining for me to continue to play with a guaranteed big amount being offered. I get so disgusted with the family/friends on the sideline saying things like "you're such a wonderful person, you DESERVE more than that". I'm sitting here saying "it's not about what they may/may not deserve. It's a game of chance!!"

200,000 sounds like a wonderful sum to me. However my husband is more of a gambler. When we watch Jeopardy he think the contestants should risk it all. His feeling is it's a game, since you had nothing to start with, you have nothing to lose, so go for it.

We were in the casinos in the Bahamas and I had my free roll of quarters to try on the slot machine. After 6 pulls on the handle I walked away with my remaining quarters. I just cannot gamble. My husband finished his roll and left too - but he had won about $25.00.

$90,000, unless all the top amounts were still in play and I only had to pick one before the next offer.

When the offers start getting high and there are only a handful of cases left, why don't people realize this is where things start going downhill if they don't deal??

It would depend on what was left on the board but I am really not much of a gambler and I don't need a huge amount of money to make me happy. I have seen far too many become greedy and lose big amounts.

$200,000 sounds great. Also depending on how many big amounts were still up there, and how many cases I had to choose if I said ND. I like to gamble, but I also know when to quit (most of the time).

I couldn't play.....I am just not a gambler and would probably quit after the first case.

LOL.....I'm not a gambler either. Carol, I can just see you and Mcmann and myself on stage saying, "Yes, Howie, I'll take that $27,000 offer!" And I can hear the audience gasping (and/or booing). :-)

I'm not a gambler either. Casino's bore me. But in a game where I started with nothing I would take the attitude that it would be OK to go home with nothing.

Depending what is left for big amounts, $100,000 would be so tempting. I would definitely deal before too many of the big amounts were gone. I feel like I am an unlucky person so... I would quit while I was ahead.

$200,000 sounds good too.... who knows though, sometimes I live by chances. I hope I would take it at that mark.

If it looked like things were getting risky and the offer got to $100,000 I'd take it, otherwise would stop at $200,000.

I'm a gambler. After taxes, $200,000 wouldn't be that much. Like the others, I'd probably have to see what's left on the board.

I thought about it once, if The Banker ever offered me $30,000, I would take it. There's no real strategy in the game, just luck.
