He's a sad excuse of "perfection"...

It was a rush job..but the kids thought he was pretty cool.

I'm the only one that likes coconut, so....it was only the grass.

Tammy I love the bloom but I will admit it looks slightly less cupped than I thought it would be. The bloom looks huge, well more than an inch across anyways. Can you describe the fragrance? I imagine it to be a really sweet smell like cake frosting for some reason. I have never smelled the flowers of any of the Hoyas related to and including Hoya australis. Mike

By its own nature Olga Mezit have an open habit (vs more tight/dense habit of PJM) which IMO is a nice feature in naturalistic plantings where shrubs ment to grow into each other without featuring them as individual focal points. However, if this is not what you want in this particular situation, I'd suggest to prune off about 1/2 of the new growth every year in a first 3-4 years after planting in order to create more dense branch structure. Pruning should be done within 1 month after the flowering in order not to interfere with next year flowering buds formation.

Pound cake does seem to be the go to recipe for molds for a lot of people. Much less failure rate as far as holding up, plus you can find a nice flavorful pound cake pretty easily. I don't have my recipes right here, but I did a search and there was a thread on the recipe forum from 2008 where Ann T and Ginger, and other forum members, posted favorite pound cake recipes. Rollie - the doors above the fridge flip up. I had originally planned to put plastic wrap, etc there. However, when I went to open them today I realized I had to stand on my tip toes to open them. So they will probably be rarely used - maybe for a platter or two. I believe we are using 2 cm granite, but off the top of my head I am not sure. The sides that drop down on either side of the hood (which is what I think you are referring to) are actually pull outs with spice racks. So, they must be leaving room for them to sit above the granite so that they can be pulled out. The cabinets are made by a company called Custom Cupboards. This is a product line and not a custom job however.

Well couldn't have done it without Sol's pound cake recipe and the cream cheese butter cream that is the favorite frosting around here. LOL

Just wish I could have "spiffed" him up a bit more. lol

Red Velvet Cupcakes sound good..I don't know that I've ever eaten Red Velvet cake..but I know I'd like it. LOL

Terri, I'm tickled you took the time to post a picture. The scalloped base with the pretty chocolate eggs set the little guy off beautifully. And the way you iced his face makes him look like he's smiling. And he should be; he's absolutely pwecious!
