want you be by Neighbor. (Mr. Rogers)

The sun is shinning and it is suppose to be in the 70's today. We are going out to our Friends Ranch to check out some new horses. He has a Pregnant horse, too.

My left leg is my bum leg. Unfortunately, that is the leg you use to get on a horse. There is a ugly white nag I usually ride. It has been so long since I've spread my legs for anything, I'm not so sure I can ride anymore.

I was on a horse once. Rode it for about 20 yards and that was all I needed to know that I'd had enough. How can something filled with hay be so hard?

Vera - Wow, sounds like such a nice day! It's so nice to take a stroll and see what plants are coming out of hibernation. After seeing your blue flax pictures, I'm excited about my little flax seedlings. It froze last night and will freeze again tonight, but should be nice by the middle of next week. Yea! I'm probably a big wimp, but I brought my WS tomatoes inside. I will put them back out tomorrow probably. Hopefully the transition from inside back outside won't kill them. I thought about transplanting them into cups, and putting the cups in a deep dish lasagna WS container, that way they'll maybe get a little more growth on them. I brought a couple herbs in that I already transplanted to pots that don't have covers. All the rest of the flowers, including annuals, I left to the elements. I imagine they'll be just fine. Jan - All the branches from the ice storm are a pain. Probably over half of the houses in my town have big piles of branches in their front yard. The city hasn't decided whether they're going to pick up the branches yet. Our neighbors decided to stack up a bunch of theirs, but unfortunately probably half of them are in our yard. We're hoping it doesn't kill our grass, but I guess if that's my main complaint, that's not too bad.

If you two were walking the paths by Red Rock, you may have been very close to our house. We live across the highway from the marina, in Dutchman's Landing East. If you are in the area again, let us know and we could meet. The bike paths are fun to walk, and they are working on making them longer. Did you see the Bald Eagles? A great place to see them, is just over by our house in a cove across the highway from the marina, you can park on a gravel road and watch them soaring for fish. They are a beautiful site. Lots of people were taking photos yesterday.

We are having leftover night to clean out the fridge before we leave. Mostly the meal will consist of spaghetti and meatballs but I have some other bits and pieces to toss out there that sound more interesting than the spaghetti.......But my Dearest Darling will have the spaghetti. He'd like to have it every night.

Glorious day here in central OK. Like most of the rest of the US, we've been in a horrible heat bubble. But today was just perfect! I was able to pull some weeds, water the flower beds & brown spots in the yard with out feeling like I was going to melt. LOL According to the weather man, we're going to start moving up in temps by the weekend. So for now I will enjoy this brief respite! Rob, hope your mom is better soon!

Enjoy your ride. I haven't been on a horse in years, but I still have 4 of them. You'd be taking your life in your own hands tho if you tried to ride any of them. They sure do look pretty tho when I look out across the pasture.

It is a beautiful day in Texas! It's 77Âº here right now, but I'm still cold. I just getting over chills and fever and haven't warmed up yet.

Like Marilyn, it's been a few years since I rode a horse. Right now we only have one on our place. Ron, I never thought about it that way. How can something filled with hay be so hard? LOL It is true! And when you haven't ridden in a while you will feel muscles that you never knew you had!

I just got back. I had to get on the horse from the back of the pick up truck. LOL! A short ride, but I'll probably still be sore tomorrow.

Several of my friends are afraid to ride since they have gotten up in years. I have a friend who is a pretty big gal and her horse spooked and tossed her on her fannie. She still has horses, but She said She will never ride again.

It was a perfect day. Now, I'm looking forward to making Turkey Tetrazzi tonight. I sent Main Man to the store for some ingredients.

One and only time I ever tried to ride a horse I was about 18 years old, on vacation at a Dude Ranch. The silly horse decided he wanted to roll in the sand...hello....got down on his front knees then the fella teaching us yelled at me to jump clear. That horse, saddle and all, rolled around in the sand, all four legs up in the air.

I can laugh about it now, but I wouldn't even get back on to ride back to the barn. Walked all the way home.
